wow that's a lot of corn. I can't remember the last time I had corn just by itself.
Sophia, aren't they soaked in formaldehyde? Anyway, the package probably has a "use-by" date on it.
I'm feeling bad now because I'd forgotten about Strega -- since I didn't cross over with her much, it went back in my mind that she was still out there somewhere. Shit.
Not gonna find that one on Still Tasty, Sophia! I suppose it's preserved, right? Good luck. I bet when that goes bad it really goes bad.
Mmmm, corn. My CSA box never showed up, alas. Deciding if I trust next week's to actually arrive or if I should cancel (I was charged for the one that never got to me, don't want to keep doing that!)
I'm out of toilet paper so I guess I will be going to the store, perhaps multiple stores. There is a restaurant across the bridge that is offering a box that includes 3 rolls of toilet paper and I am sorely tempted to just order that and go pick it up curbside but then I'd have a gallon of milk and what would I do with that?
Those sound like awesome boxes Laura—benefit of Florida I guess!!
Gallon of milk = baking or ice cream or give to neighbors.
did you call the CSA about getting you $$ back?
I emailed, they say on their website it's better to email than call.
Maybe I can find someone to take a gallon milk off my hands ETA I am not used to using milk as an ingredient since I don't keep any on hand, and I think the reality is I am not going to bake and ice cream should be made with CREAM so, no to those
Oops, that reminds me, my flower pot of succulents up at the office may not have been watered in the last three weeks. I better stop by tomorrow and see if there's anything left to salvage.
wow that's a lot of corn
Since it is the weekend tomorrow I'm going to go ahead and shuck and blanch the cobs and freeze them 4 to a gallon size bag. Then easy to toss one in the microwave any time we get the urge.

eta: I just unboxed the veggies into the fridge and there was an eggplant in there too!
Don't forget stuff left in refrigerators at work. I understand our physical plant people had a lot of fun (not!) this week getting rid of stuff people forgot about when they left.
