Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

Our wings are not tired.

I sent Matt a note asking him to check in after the weather awfulness near him this past weekend.

I have to say our weather is pretty awesome right now. Getting some much needed rain. A bit on the hot side (90ish), but the breezes are refreshing.

Hey gang, all clear here! We had some scary strong winds last night, but when I checked the local news there weren't any weather alerts (just pandemic coverage) so I figured it was no big deal. It didn't occur to me that the storms might have had any tornado activity given that our local weather bureau's approach is usually that of Chicken Little.

It appears that Mississippi is where the real damage occurred.

We heard Saturday that Jonesboro had tornadoes, but you know the not local reports are often hard to interpret. Good to hear you are okay!

Thrive to spite them

There was a lot of wind and torando warnings here. I think one touched down north of Matthew's sister. Mom lost power for awhile but she is ok and we are ok.

Yeah, we are quite windy, but in a weigh down the outdoor furniture and be super grateful for the breezes kind of way. (I didn't weight down the chairs and they are tossed about the yard, oops)

We had some Wednesday, but they skipped our city and hit surrounding areas instead. People were very twitchy after the previous storm.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's been steady rain here, mostly vertical so far.

I discovered that I have a phobia that I didn't heretofore known about: getting things up my nose. There was a small bout of screaming, but the tech seemed somewhat amused.

Theo, I warn medical people that I have an oversensitive gag reflex. To my credit, I've never actually thrown up on anyone ... just some dramatic gagging on occasion.

I gotta say whenever they show that test on the television I shudder so I suspect I won't care for it either if I need to get tested at some point. (I imagine my medical offices will want to test me before they let me come back in to train them on stuff)

Ooh for the covid test, Theo? I've heard it's hardcore.

A good friend of mine just got unexpectedly furloughed for 8 weeks (and may end up being more) after being told this morning that she was having a 25% pay cut. Way to make the pay cut not seem so important? Yikes.
