You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

This means Owen turns 16 and Ticky turns 15 in the next eight days.

LALALALALA, I CAN'T HEAR YOU.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

None of these babies can be so old!

Askye- perservere.

Theo- I offered to facetime on Facebook to try and fix the machine, but I am not sure I know how!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That is patently ridiculous.

I am having such a Sunday-ish Sunday, and it is definitely helping me re-moor in time. Church from home, a nice walk to a local bakery, making pretzel rolls, and a zoom with my band at our usual meeting time!

What is even happening?

Our schedule is shot to hell, sj, and we're all adults. I can only imagine what it would be like to keep some structure in a little one's day. I hope you and TCG are cutting yourselves plenty of slack. Remember Hec's golden rule of parenting: good enough is good enough.

Yes! Thanks for asking. I sent my mom a horror tweet this morning from an MD about a kid who visited their parents and now both are in hospital with the virus because the kid was sick without symptoms. The dad is in a really bad condition and the mom is in a mild condition. That apparently did the trick, because even though she still thinks she wouldn't catch it, my mom would like me not to feel guilty in the "unlikely case" they'll catch it on their way to me so they cancelled the visit. Yay common ground!

And how are you? How is your family doing?

My son's girlfriend (who's a nurse at a big hospital) tested negative for Covid-19, so that's good. We don't know the status of my husband's aunt, but she's still in the hospital.

Yesterday, my daughter and I, who haven't left the house in 3 (her) to 4 (me) weeks, went to see my mother for five minutes. We met her outside, and stood 10 feet from her, with us downwind. Now I'm second guessing that move, but I think the solitude was getting to her.

That sounds as safe as could be, Cindy. I'm sure she appreciated it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Cindy. I know TCG thinks she's watching too much TV, but I'm not too worried about it. We all did laundry together today. Pairing up socks is educational, right?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Pairing up socks is an important skill in and if itself and reinforces skills useful in other endeavors. Totes educational.

I have been lackadaisically cleaning my bathroom in between trying to get my excel meal plan/pantry inventory updated/working. It's not a complicated document, I don't get why excel keeps hanging up with every edit. Anyway, getting small amounts done which is better than some days.

Matching, colors, counting to two! There are a ton of skills in pairing up socks.

I just heard a mother on a podcast saying she can't deal with the math worksheet on fractions, but cooking together is plenty of fractions.

Cooking together is excellent for fractions!

Excel is still not responding. It's just supposed to be clearing conditional formatting, that shouldn't take forever, should it? I might have to start from scratch. Bah.
