Pairing up socks is an important skill in and if itself and reinforces skills useful in other endeavors. Totes educational.

I have been lackadaisically cleaning my bathroom in between trying to get my excel meal plan/pantry inventory updated/working. It's not a complicated document, I don't get why excel keeps hanging up with every edit. Anyway, getting small amounts done which is better than some days.

Matching, colors, counting to two! There are a ton of skills in pairing up socks.

I just heard a mother on a podcast saying she can't deal with the math worksheet on fractions, but cooking together is plenty of fractions.

Cooking together is excellent for fractions!

Excel is still not responding. It's just supposed to be clearing conditional formatting, that shouldn't take forever, should it? I might have to start from scratch. Bah.

-t, sounds like you have one of those problems where a cell is trying to update a cell that is trying to update another cell... which is trying to update the first cell. It's been way long since I dealt with that, but I know there are ways to identify which cells are involved.

It's been so long that I've forgotten what the problem is called, but I know it's something that the Help section will have covered.

It's not circular references, Theo, it's literally just clearing formatting, not anything with formulas. To be fair, the formatting is a mess due to rampant copying and pasting, but I don't get why clearing all conditional formatting isn't a snap. Seems like that would be the simple fix but apparently not. Maybe I will force quit one more time and try again...

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

My dad's attending called a little while ago, and I think we're in the end game. We have a conference call planned with the palliative care doctor tomorrow, and I think we need to affirm that it is time to withdraw support. He's not in active multisystem failure, but he is on the brink, and the hospital's supply chain for the narcotics that are keeping him pain-free (though they cause other problems, because of course) is fracturing and they're running low on the two main narcotics used for ventilated patients.

I emailed my brothers, but I need to call my dad's girlfriend to tell her. I can't even say or write the words; how can I tell her?
