So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I never mop. Swiffer WetJet or gtfo. And by "gtfo" I mean lie down on the couch.

I ripped out the old nasty carpet in my downstairs and replaced it with sheet vinyl with a hardwood pattern. I am so happy with it! Swiffer and Roomba take care of it, vacuuming not necessary. If I ever get sheet vinyl again, I'll spend a little more on it, but still I haven't regretted this choice for a minute. I pulled out the old cigarette-burned vinyl and put down vinyl plank flooring in the tiny kitchen and tiny bathroom, and that was a good choice too. Sure it was not high-quality, but no way am I putting down expensive floors in a townhouse I may someday be renting out.

In short: vinyl floors good, wall-to-wall carpets (probably) bad.

Say, y'all remember when we had a communal login/password to the New York Times and some other media? We should do that again. Anyone interested in pitching in a couple bucks to subscribe us to some newspapers and the like?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Mopping is the only thing I dislike more than vacuuming.

And I did them both today!

Our wings are not tired.

I am pretty sure I get an extra email address for my NYTs subscription. I could add a generic address or something.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I vacuumed and steam-mopped the kitchen today. We need to re-tile the kitchen floor in grey or something that doesn't show dirt the way the current white tile does. You can see every freaking atom of crud on a white tile floor.

I also mowed the lawn, went to Aldi and Meijer, did minor food prep for the week (hard-boiled eggs for breakfasts and cut up cheese cubes for lunches), did the dishes, made the bed, and meditated.

I want a beer after all that.

What is even happening?

I want a beer after all that.

Oh, look at Teppy bucking for a seat on the Supreme Court.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I also went to Meijer! And got my nails did! And studied for my last needed teaching test which is on this Thursday! When my DH goes out of town, I get a lot done. He is off in Germany, driving around some new motorcycle..

I don't think I love beer enough to be a Supreme Court justice. (I mean, I thought I loved beer a lot, and then Blackout Brett came along and made me realize there's a whole other level of beer love I know nothing about, nor do I aspire to it.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I cannot find one of the outfits I wear to ACL. I have specific clothes I wear because it is so hot and sweaty so these are all outdoor athletic clothes that are comfy and now the black dress is AWOL.

POOP!

Now all my drawers are super neat and my closet also and still no dress. How do I lose a dress?
