excellent sj - I hope it is a good day.
I am going into the office today. I probably won't have any interactions with people, but I am kicking myself for not making masks this weekend, because I would like to go buy some liquid soap to refill mine.

I am annoyed by the way the liquid hand soap I bought (the only kind available) makes my hands smell. But then I realize that I am grateful that I actually have a sense of smell.
My uncle passed away last night. We weren't super close, but it's still a loss. He served in the army in WWII. There aren't many veterans of that conflict left. He was imperfect, as are we all, but he took amazing care of my aunt, who is quite frail (she'll probably move in with her son, who is also a good man). Sadly, geographically distant family members won't be able to go to any sort of memorial ceremony in the near future, which will be very disappointing for my aunt. She'd love to have anyone who shares half a gene with her within two blocks at all times.
I'm sorry for your loss, Calli. It is so hard for families not being able to visit loved ones in care facilities, or or having to forego memorial services.

I like the smell of my handsoap, but I also have that moment of gratitude when I smell unpleasant aromas!
At least there's no time limit on memorial services. When my dad died, his sister was out of the country, so we held it a month later when she got back. Obviously a month later might not work now, but end of summer or into the fall might be OK.
My condolences Calli.
Headed into the office. Found my license and debit card, but no idea where my wallet is.
So sorry for your family's loss, Calli
Calli, I'm so sorry.
JZ, much ~ma to your family.
Since I did my supply run yesterday I decided to do laundry as well. I didn't get all of it done, but enough for a while. I've been avoiding all those doorknobs in my building. Listening to my upstairs neighbors coughing for two weeks (they seem to be feeling better) and now listening to my downstairs neighbor coughing (I'm hoping it's his regular smoker's cough + allergies) has kept me holed up in my apartment away from those common areas.
I'm so sorry, Calli.
