Inara: So, explain to me again why Zoe wasn't in the dress? Mal: Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. 'Sides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. It's the whole... air-flow.

Now tagless for your comfort.

DH made a grocery run today and the checker reminded him that they have special hours just for senior citizens.

I have not stopped laughing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh jeez, askye -- I wish I could run errands for you!

I looked again and found the exact recipe I was looking for! [link]

Our wings are not tired.

I have not stopped laughing.

You can let him know I laughed too!

Time Travel Buffista Meetup!

So nice to see people. I was thinking today that I missed the pictures/avatars from WX days.

Oh dear.

I was really annoyed about being forced into mail order 'scripts, but now I'm really grateful because no drama in getting my dr to e-scribe another 90 days. And hell, I'm home, so.

My mom may kill my dad before summer if he doesn't give them both the corona first. He keeps going out for unnecessary shit. Pretty hopeless persuading him otherwise. He's got a fucking teenager's invincibility complex. Always has. Almost died (several times)? Doesn't humble, make more introspective; nope. Just, hey, didn't die!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think my neighbor is like that. Almost 80, heart attack a couple of years ago, and I think he finally stopped going into the office?? He was definitely going in every day when I was WFH.

I'm definitely wishing I'd gone to 90 day mail Rx!

Askye I think even when quarantining you can go check the mail, just don't do it when other people are standing there and don't sneeze all over the mailboxes??

Debet, I've been thinking about fostering, but apparently the Humane Society here isn't taking any transfers from other shelters (which is how they usually get new animals) so no kittens right now! :( And I'm also tempted to foster a doggo but also a little scared because I don't know that I can handle a dog that has any issues.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

askye, going out for things is fine. Don't touch your face, limit your contact with things, and wash your hands as soon as you get back in.

Thrive to spite them

The mailbox thing is across the street and down half a block. I think whoever checks can take some lysol and spray it down before and after the mail is checked. I know I'm being a bit.. much about this..but there is barely any testing going on and no one is really limiting their movements.

I'm working on my unemployment claim- they have an option for coronavirus laid off or reduced hours, I picked laid off (even though it's furlough because that's not an option) and the form requires a return date to work which I don't know. I picked May 1, seems as good a guess as any.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yeah, we're pretty well set up in that we have a laundry room that we can use for doggo containment, as well as a yard, and I can take regular breaks from work to do dog stuff.

This is at once a good time and a scary time to foster, since everything's semi-shut-down. The local humane society has put 83 dogs into foster in the past week or so.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

In much lighter news, I am glad I spent a lot of money getting my hair done on the last possible day, because otherwise I would be VERY TEMPTED to cut and/or color it myself.

I got my hair cut and colored at the beginning of March (are we all in agreement that the beginning of March was 107 DAYS AGO???) for our friends' wedding. I usually only get it colored in the spring and fall, so I'm good on color. And I trim my own bangs, even if I shouldn't, so I'll survive. I'm super glad Tim has long hair, though, because if he had a short style and asked me to trim it for him, he would look like Alfalfa.

My 78-year-old heart patient dad is still working at Kroger. And I am still not talking to him because I'm so angry about it. I know that kind of anger isn't healthy, but it's such a phenomenally fucking stupid thing to do.
