Cough and pain with breathing are not good. You are absolutely 1000% not malingering.
And, to be clear, there are things other than Covid-19 that it could be that would still need a doctor's attention (bronchitis, walking pneumonia, good ol' pleurisy). So yes, please keep an eye on it.
So my uncle called and my cousin, who's 35 weeks pregnant, has Covid 19.
She sick but so far being treated at home. Tylenol is keeping her temperature at 99. Her breathing was already somewhat restricted by the pregnancy.
Her husband and 4 year old are on another floor of the house. They have no symptoms. She last saw her parents on the fifteenth and they don't either. It looks like she was exposed the day after I last saw her at her grandmother's funeral.
We're keeping it off social media (this doesn't count!) and the family phone tree is through her parents.
It's a big family and I knew this call would come eventually.
Oh man, Trudy. Best thoughts to all of them. How awful.
Thanks, y'all. So far the Target brand night time cold and flu stuff is really helping (not least because it's my favorite flavor, cherry (all cherry flavored things taste like cough syrup but when it actually is treating a cough, that's a good thing!))
Best wishes for your cousin, Trudy. That must be hard for her and scary for the family.
Calli, I'm so sorry.
-t, what JZ said, please take care.
Trudy, your poor cousin, bad enough but she has to go through it without her husband's help too, it has to be so hard.
I am upset at my oldest niece, who gets nasty when she's scared. I'm disengaging from the sudden family drama, because I'm stressed out enough already, but I feel bad because my sister's only real emotional support is me. Her kids' ways of dealing with stress just add to it.
Thanks, guys.
It's good to disengage. Maybe you can support your sister generally by sending her something positive or making her laugh and not support her specifically in regards to the mean drama.
You gotta take care of yourself, Zen.
Tons of health~ma to Buffistas and families.
And yay Tom!
I'm sorry, Calli.

This. The separation of the sick and the lack of visitors in the hospital for any patients is such added pain.
I hope you are feeling better this morning, -t.
Continuing to send ~ma to JZ, and family.
Hoping for a quiet work day because I need a nap already and it isn't even 8 AM here.
I've already been told I'm the worst mommy ever. How's everyone else's day going?
