Apparently it is 81 here, feels like 85, but it felt a lot warmer when I walked next door to deliver misdirected mail. Neighbor was sitting outside smoking a huge cigar. He was on the phone so I didn't talk to him. He's a restaurateur so I've wondering how he was doing. They have a front outside sitting area and have been screening movies on a blank wall outside in the evening. I may wonder over and take a properly distanced seat with them next time I see them doing that.
eta: so I have my usual spaghetti strap top and shorts on
DH went shopping this morning and found toilet paper!!
That's my big news of the day.
Now I have a call with a recruiter in 10 minutes. It's for a job here, so with husband's call for the Florida job tomorrow, I'm not quite sure what to hope for anymore. But, um, fingers crossed that something works out?
Woo Jess!
Walk accomplished. Now sitting on the porch hoping my lunch arrives soon. It has warmed up (also, I am sitting in full sun)
Fingers crossed for something good and workable, Dana!
I'm so glad your dad's doing better, JZ.
Job~ma of whatever kind's best, Dana.
I'm less on call in the evenings now, so I can have a glass of wine with dinner. Thank god.
And lunch just arrived, woohoo!
Go Florida! Choose Florida!
yeeeah, I don't think this job is for me. Still on the call, though.
Ugh, weird interview. I said I was looking for a full-time job, and she said it was contract to at least start, but then she wanted to know what I was looking for in a full-time job (benefits?) and then what benefits (uh, the normal ones? Healthcare coverage, paid vacation).
And then she proceeded with the rest of the interview? So is she going to present a list of my demands, and if I'm fabulous enough, they'll hire me full-time? And if that's the case, there's no way I'm fabulous enough for this job, since I don't have direct experience with most of what they're looking for.
