Hey, I've been in a firefight before! Well, I was in a fire. Actually, I was fired from a fry-cook opportunity. I can handle myself.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, for a good paycheck, askye!

We just put beef and barely stew in the crock pot for dinner tonight, and of course just as I was typing this post my electricity went out. Luckily, it came back on after a few minutes, but I did have a minute of damn is the apocalypse progressing to the next level?!?

That's scary these days, sj! Glad it didn't last long!

Askye that sounds like a good plan. And I hear you—my sister and brother in law keep the tv on at all times and it makes me a little crazy when I visit.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I couldn't live in a home like that. Except during prime time or when I'm running a dishwasher cycle, my cats are the noisiest thing in my apartment.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Husband has another interview with the people in Florida on Friday, so qualified yay?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My mother would always turn on the TV - loudly, since her hearing was going - any time she came home. And, at night, she had to have the radio going (also loudly). Nearly killed me one night when I was staying with her and was desperate for sleep and her radio was going all night (I slipped in and turned it off and, without completely waking up, she turned it back on).

Herding cats for fun

My favorite living environment is the sound of silence. I would go insane if I had to listen to TV all the time.

One of my jobs was torture because they played different music in two rooms and I could hear both. It felt like my brain was trying to twist itself into a spiral shape trying to escape.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Toddson, my dad also blares the tv day and night. It was tough when I was sleeping on his couch.

I walked 3 miles today! And met Bruno and Mars! Also, Spook, Zombie, Ghoul & Scary! (Those guys were just calves, littles!) Yay, cows!!!

My sister once lived in a place where nearby there were two of the Scottish cattle named Duncan and Donut.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

YAYYAYYAY! My dad just texted me from his hospital bed! He's awake, interactive, and would rather be on the golf course, but his nurse says he is "an absolute delight and a pleasure to care for."

(Lucky her--he's been less than delightful to the people he actually lives with of late, but this has clearly scared some good sense into him.)

I'm so relieved I could throw up.
