Thrive to spite them

I am so pissed at Matthew and his mom right now and I can't say anything. They have been ...self medicating more with pot and it's been keeping the peace so whatever. But now there is someone in the house, sitting on our couch less than a foot away from Matthew . And this person has said "if I get it and live then I live and if I get it and die then I die, this is just the natural order". and they are sharing a bong and smoking after each other. All I want to do is Lysol the damn couch. or never sit on it again and make them all take showers and not touch Matthew for 14 days.

What is even happening?

Oh askye, the bong sharing is ridiculous.

I know you may have just been venting, but I would Lysol the couch AND would not touch Matthew for 14 days. We haven't been mixing households for over a week (so no visiting friends; that's why God made Al Gore invented the internet).

That's just not fair to you.

The bakery we go to is closing. I was hoping they were still considered essential because we have to interact with less people to get bread there, and it is better bread.

The MA list is pretty deep and wide (lots of essential businesses). Charlie's letting restaurants keep providing take-out. Do you know if this was a decision made at the city level?

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

askye, I'm so sorry. Their response to your concerns and all of this is less than ideal. You deserve better.

Tep, I totally understand needing Tim to stay home and wanting to strangle him at the same time.

Dana, how did DH's interview go?

Has anyone heard from Gud? I'm worried that social distancing measures aren't ideal for his home life right now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would absolutely flip out about that askye.

Individual businesses are making different decisions anyway -- like Flour closed all their locations last week, I think at least partly because they couldn't see a way for the staff to be safe at work, even with all take-out.

Oh, askye, I'm sorry. Argh.

Note to self, call her little tea cup and not ltc!

Made me laugh!

David, I have a Queen size air mattress you can borrow, if it would fit in your nerdhole.

Thrive to spite them

It doesn't help that they are high and I'm pissed off and I keep hearing "this is just how the Earth cleanses itself and people will die but that's just how life is"

which pisses me off because I don't want people to die. I asked Matthew if they had been smoking after each other and he looked really guitly and finally said yes. so he's sleeping on the couch. I dont know if this guy is sick but I'm not taking chances. Why can't people just give a shit about what happens to someone else.

"I'm worried about the economy and how are we going to have jobs if everything stays shut down" Well you know what if we don't slow this disease down it's going to crash anyway because everyone will be sick and unable to work and the hospitals will be overwhelmed.

askye, I'm pissed at my 78-year-old dad continuing to work at Kroger and saying "If I die, I die," but at least he's not sitting on my couch and potentially getting me sick. Matthew's friend is an ass, and Matthew shouldn't be encouraging it. He's lucky you don't make him sleep outside for 14 days.

'Suela, I'm in pretty much the same place as far as living alone and liking it, but this whole thing is making me appreciate getting out of the house. I may start taking a short walk around the apt complex at lunch.

At least role reversal isn't a thing with my parents - they're staying home like sensible people. Although Dad has a tendency to come up with Projects - I may go down there after this lifts and find an actual airlock on the back door.
