Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm kinda grateful to live alone now: I don't have to worry about navigating someone else's exposures. And I'm a bit of an introvert. OTOH, I do need SOME social contact....

JZ, I'm so sorry to hear you're sick, I hope you all can survive the isolation without too much disruption.

I am supposed to be WFH although I've done very little this morning. My team is trying to figure out how to work on our projects when the network won't let us log in and the agency doesn't want us emailing our files to ourselves...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Apparently our staying open is due to a letter from Homeland Security confirming our essential, um, -ness? This is all very very weird.

I hope you and Tim survive each other ok, Tep. I think you are right and he should stay home even though it will be hard - hard to believe he just had freaking heart surgery, that seems like it happened a long time ago, maybe in a galaxy far far away.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Only 2 months ago. How is that even possible?

Now tagless for your comfort.

I will be reading a story book on Facebook live at 2pm central time (3pm EST) if anyone wants to tune in with their kiddos.

Our wings are not tired.

Anyone trying to call ltc any shortened version of her name will get an earful from her.

Note to self, call her little tea cup and not ltc!

I'm so grumpy already. I don't know how I'm going to last ten more days without chewing off my own leg or my family smothering me in my sleep.

I have to admit to a great deal of grumpiness as a result of all this, and I'm not even sleeping on a couch. So much disruption and uncertainty. Grumpy is better than anxious maybe?

I got set up to be able to answer the phones coming into the main library number from home. The 6 full-time staff who usually do it have been working every day without a break since we closed 10 days ago, so now I (and others) can spell them or heaven forbid someone gets sick.

I very much do not want to answer the phones (the calls are a mix of topics I never deal with, like library card fines, and crazy and/or lonely people who just want to talk) but I am ready to serve!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

We just got word from out owner closing my office down, so I'll be lugging my tower home for WFH purposes this afternoon. I'd hoped we'd thinned out enough to keep the office open since I feel like I'm much less productive at home, but I suppose better safe than sorry. At least this will give me the latitude to take a break and walk around outside midday without having to climb hills or run into wild dogs.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So despite my preemptive threats to yeet my dearest into space, I still want him home.

Surely there's a song in here somewhere: "I Yeet My Dearest Into Space," "Preemptive Threats To Yeet."

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

"Yeeting My Beloved in the Time of Cholera"?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

"Yeeting My Beloved in the Time of Cholera"?

Mmmmhmmm. We're probably talking about a concept album.

I already gave Teppy a new popstar name: Pinky Lang McPoshpink.
