I just read an article about stress-eating. Basically, yes, it does make you feel better, if that's your inclination. No, it's probably not good for you, but maybe you can rewire your brain so that you stress eat fruit instead of peppermint Oreos. For example.

Timelies all!
I like that New Yorker cover.Reminds me of the good things that happened with the elections.(Pissed about the rat-fucking, though.)
There was the one time I stress-ate a head of broccoli. I'm still on M&Ms right now, though.
I hate when I get yelled at at work for something I may have done wrong, but I'm not actually sure. So I don't quite have the moral indignation of being right, but maybe I can? Everyone can fuck off anyway. I need a drink.
AND my mother deleted my recording of 911, and I can't find Fox on demand?? WTAF.
I've been sitting here with a low to moderate level of stress for a couple of years, and I'm honestly not sure if I remember what it feels like to not be stressed.
Jesse, I think it's on Hulu if you have that.
Oh, is that the fuckery? And you have to subscribe to Hulu now, right? I hate everything.
And realize all of my problems are tiny.

Well, no matter what happened, people at work should not be yelling at you.

Since Wednesday, I've felt really happy, in a way I haven't felt in a long time. I described it to my therapist as "sparkly happy." I just feel lighter, emotionally, than I have in a long time. BUT I'm also kind of braced for the next shitty thing that will bring that all crashing down, and *that* feeling sucks.
t edit What's weird -- and yet 100% UNsurprising -- is that my brother had a very similar session with *his* therapist yesterday. So we continue to share a brain and a mental illness.
Last day to join the MoFo Gift Exchange. Now is also the time to share with me any match restrictions participants may want (no one will get matched with who they had last year, but other than that I have made no limits), also the time to ask any pressing questions and the time to let me know if you are interested in being part of the MoFo Mayhem Elves.
