I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Jesse, that is pretty anti-climactic.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, last time I saw my psych a few months ago, he asked if I was feeling anxious, and I said no. Not really. Maybe a bit, with the state of the world. And he said, well, yeah, that makes sense.

Our wings are not tired

When does the rainy season usually start in CA?

Here in LA it's February 18th to 22nd for the rainy season. Not the start, that's the whole thing.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Jesse, maybe the university president was thinking that Winter Break now includes the preceding weekend?

Heh. It is supposed to be an El Nino winter this year, but I think that'll mean a lot of warm wet rain, which won't build up our snowpack. We'll get a lot of fuel for fires but not as much in the reservoirs as we need.

In any event, I would have expected the rains to be starting by now, but it's just dry. Beautiful sunny days (when the air isn't full of smoke like today), and cool nights.

The air quality is so bad today they say not to exercise strenuously, so I took the dog for a hike in the woods instead of a run. Now I really have to do some stuff around the house instead of obsessively following political news.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Why am I wasting my day arguing the Dickey Amendment in the comments of Jen Gunter's twitter feed?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

100 years from now, health researchers will have some interesting data to look at for the effects of long-term stress on all kinds of things at a population level.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I just read an article about stress-eating. Basically, yes, it does make you feel better, if that's your inclination. No, it's probably not good for you, but maybe you can rewire your brain so that you stress eat fruit instead of peppermint Oreos. For example.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!
