I happen to be very biteable, pal. I'm moist and delicious.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Does she know about her friends yet?

Of her two closest friends who also applied (out of many friends) one got in, and the other did not (she's gutted).

I walked by her room and I could hear her talking on the phone. She wasn't crying and sounded calm, so I listened briefly through the door.

And I heard Emmett's voice talking to her, warm, and reasonable and kind.

She called her Emmett when she was sad.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

She called her Emmett when she was sad.

They are each other's best human. I still can't believe how lucky we were to form this family.

I'm gutted for her--and right now I can't even hug her, because I've got a dry cough and lightheaded/spacey headache spells and a climbing fever. I knew I was a little warm so I self-isolated, and then while Hec was at the pharmacy getting just-in-case supplies she plaintively called through the bedroom door to ask if I could check for the email.

And it was a no, and she *needed* to know and I couldn't not tell her, and I could just feel her crumbling and wobbling away, and I couldn't even hug her.

I know it's my own alma mater and going there made me who I am and I'm infinitely grateful, but right now I want to find out the home addresses of everyone on the admissions committee and go lick their doorknobs.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Emmett and Matilda have such a lovely sibling relationship. It makes my heart happy every time. I hear about it.

Thrive to spite them

Oh no, poor Matilda. That's so hard for her and for you not being able to be there for her.

I hope you feel better JZ and that you just have a little bit of a cold.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

So, I updated on Facebook, but mu Uni has figured out it is better for us to self isolate than to be available to man the hospital as essential.

So I am officially work from home. I have to go in tomorrow during non-peak hours to pick up my work charging cord, because my iPhone/iPad charger has stopped working. I have a laptop now, so it is semi-OK.

The bus is now free and we are entering the back door? Not sure how this helps.

We are still getting many contradictory messages, so my 60 plus year old instructors are still going to the building to lecture because they want to, but I am supporting remontely.

I am enjoying being on the lectures and having more contact with the students. I miss my theatre students

I did some one on one training over zoom with the person taking over my job, and it actually worked far better than me hovering over her shoulder and trying to read her computer screen. When she shares her screen I can see, and when she feels overly watched while she tries things, I can just take a break and do something else!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I am officially work from home.

Phew!!

We got a message today that they are actually going to be tracking and reviewing who badges into U buildings -- I assume because some faculty will try to get their staff to come in with them, and some scientists will insist on keeping working. Yikes!

JZ, take care of yourself. I hope it is something random and goes away soon.

I'm sorry Matilda didn't get in.

Sophia, I'm glad you can WFH.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, so sad for Matilda. May another window open for her.

And for Jessica's family: peace and strength to you all.

I fear we will all need peace and strength soon.
