Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was thinking that, but decided I wouldn't go that far. Would it have been enough? Ehhh, maybe not quite.

I punked out on protesting. Too much smoke in the air

Me, too. I walked right past the spot around 5 and there wasn't really anyone there, and the air was so awful I didn't want to hang around. So I got a cocktail and some brussel sprouts at a bar around the corner and then went down to the library for a lecture on the history of the As. Which was good, but I feel bad about not protesting.

... there will be other opportunities, I'm sure.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Lots of opportunities, I'm sure. We aren't done yet.

I remain faithful that Mueller et alia have thought out all that might happen re Trump and have a couple dozen checkmate strategies worked out in advance.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, Theodosia. I have to believe that Mueller is smarter than Trump.

Meanwhile I am seeing a repeat of the Palm Beach Ballot that gave us George W Bush playing out in Broward County, giving us a Republican win in the US Senate. And an evil disgusting one at that. Instead of the Senate race being at the top left of the ballot, like the rest of the state, the race was in the bottom - under the instructions! I am having PTSD over this. Not joking.

A flawed ballot design may be to blame for Broward County vote discrepancies in the state's most high profile races, where thousands of voters cast ballots that failed to register their choice in the hotly-contested — and still undecided — race for U.S. Senate, a South Florida Sun Sentinel analysis of voting patterns reveals.

More than 24,900 Broward residents voted for Florida governor but not for U.S. senator, a figure far larger than the margin now separating the two Senate candidates.
More than 13,900 ballots registered a vote for attorney general but not for U.S. Senator. More than 8,700 ballots showed votes for agriculture commissioner, but not Senator. More than 8,300 ballots registered votes for CFO but not Senator.

Ugh, Laura. That's some blatant fuckery.

And in both Palm Beach and Broward counties the Dems are in charge. I am in a rage state. We have 3 races I voted on in recount. Governor, Senator, and my state rep too.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The Broward County election supervisor was appointed by Jeb.

I slept good on Wednesday night, but last night I had more anxiety, and only got a few hours of sleep again. At one point I fell alseep, but quickly woke up after I had a mass shooting nightmare.

I guess I need to vent some more later today in therapy.

Seriously, the weather and family keep me here, but my level of distress over the political situation in Florida is off the charts. I know other states, Georgia and North Carolina as examples, have issues, but Florida shenanigans and incompetence gave us George Bush and it is still undetermined what this mess is costing us.

Tom, my experience (which is obviously not universal) is that, for the past 2 years, we have all been living with a sustained level of stress and anxiety as our daily background noise. And, for me, that jacks up my baseline anxiety, which means that anything else that sets off my anxiety is already starting from second base (or sometimes third) instead of home plate. And it blows.

I hope that venting in therapy today is helpful for you.

What is even happening?

Wow, Steph. You really just nailed it for me.

Tom, I hope it helps too.
