Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Best thoughts to your family, Jess. What an amazing run, though!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

And-in-another-post: happy to report that Nilly reunited with her family. The kids are thrilled.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, Nilly and fam!

Oh Jess, that's so sad.

But yay Nilly and fam!

I've decided I need a work break to go get some pot. Not my usual jam, but the anxiety is running high here. Maybe it'll take the edge off?

Our wings are not tired.

Sounds like a reasonable plan to me, meara.

That sounds right.

For me, even just getting up and doing something helps. At the office last Friday, I was really spiraling and then we got a request to put all the desk plants in the kitchen, so I went around and picked them up off desks of people who weren't there, and just that 15 minutes or whatever of walking up and down the stairs helped.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm so sorry, Jessica.

Thrive to spite them

I need a drink or a massage . Or both of them. so far today I've gotten the new router set up, stopped Matthew and his Mom from fighting, set up everything I could on the new network, set up the Roku player for his Mom and got her watching Tex Ritter movies to get her away from the news.

And it's 2:30 and I agreed to make dinner but they want to eat around 4:30 (why???) and I said that if I make dinner I'm starting it around 5. We normally use their schedule for dinner and I'm claiming hte next few hours for myself.

I managed to finally get moving on my day. I printed up more worksheets for ltc and she helped me make pasta and beans with the beans we made yesterday.
