"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'd assumed she would run as an independent once a clear Democrat nominee was established, to siphon away butthurt Bernie Bros or voters for whom Biden is too progressive but who can't hold their noses long enough to vote for Trump.

My understanding is that she's not seeking re-election, so hopefully she can get back to American Samoa via broom regardless of airline travel restrictions.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks for the podcasts, msbelle - Nothing Much Happens sounds like it might be just what I need. I am weirdly wary of guided meditations especially for sleeping - like they are all just scams to subliminally influence me to, I don't even know, m y brain is silly and prone to random bursts of paranoia. But I have been falling asleep to audiobooks of short stories lately, thinking each time "I'll need to listen to this again later to actually know what happened" so stories designed for it not to matter sound great!

Argh, our salespeople are apparently unaware that our offices are closed. I maybe shouldn't have told the one I was talking to this morning that the warehouse may or may not be closed but I am anxious about it and thought she already knew. Sr Director has been in a meeting about it for approximately 2 hours now, I hope I have answers before my scheduled call with Bed Bath & Beyond...

So, um, y'all don't go blabbing, I guess. If you remember where I work and could tell anyone who would care.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry for your loss, Jessica. It really is wonderful that you were able to celebrate her life. It is still tough to not be able to be together at the end.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm so sorry, Jess. Please let me know if there's anything I can do from here.

Jessica, I am so sorry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Best thoughts to your family, Jess. What an amazing run, though!

And-in-another-post: happy to report that Nilly reunited with her family. The kids are thrilled.

Oh Jess, that's so sad.

But yay Nilly and fam!

I've decided I need a work break to go get some pot. Not my usual jam, but the anxiety is running high here. Maybe it'll take the edge off?
