I'm smoking in the cold cobwebby basement of my mom's house as I send her poop gifs via text as she suffers (and I truly mean that) through her colonoscopy prep and we go to a hospital tomorrow and my anxiety is sky-high right now.
It's possible I will be up all night with her. Then decontaminate before I let her touch a wheelchair at the hospital, then leaving the hospital to wait at home or in car (no fucking WAY I'm sitting in a hospital waiting room for a few hours unnecessarily) for her procedure to be done.
...this is not a routine colonoscopy, btw. I'd've cancelled that shit last week.
I can't really share my mom's poop chute miseries on SM, but I honestly would be LESS nervous if *I* was getting ACTUAL surgery tomorrow. I had to vent. She's so vulnerable.

I made it through immigration and customs lickety split! Helped a lot that I didn't check a bag. Also we landed early. I'm feeling super relieved to be home even if it's a weird hellmouth out there. Also glad I'm not struggling in at midnight or something, since I have to work tomorrow.
I don't really understand all the people who seem to think "work from home" means "watch Netflix and cook"? I mean, yes, also not going out and not commuting. But still?!?

Yeah, it's going to be rough here. The Entertainment industry is getting clobbered financially, and the smallest companies. like mine, are the tip of the spear. It truly is the worst possible timing for much of the entertainment industry. January and February and two of the slowest months every year, so most folks and small companies deplete whatever reserves they have during those months. So the really kick in the shins is the this is hitting when the gas tank is already on empty.
Sigh.
