Oddly enough, a global pandemic hasn't stirred up a single desire for a Xanax/Ambien.
That's great!
It's been 4 years.
That's really excellent, Strix!
And I'm still sleeping decently through this.
Also great!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

University just sent out a notice that we'll be teaching online until the end of the semester.
I have been alone in the office since 8:40 and I hate it.
I'm sorry, msbelle
My office is going to be fully staffed on Monday for planning and preparation for all-staff WFH. I received a mention that our head person has a special project for me that will require no internet access ... not sure how that's going to work out.
On the brighter side, I saw, somewhere, a notice that UHaul is offering college students either free or discounted storage.
We were supposed to come in Monday and then switch to WfH for the next 3+ weeks. But the boss just Slacked us saying, basically, that was silly, and we had Zoom for a reason. WfH starts now. No more March commutes for me.
Closing the dorms all together seems like a recipe for homeless international students.
Today was my first day in the online learning/IT command center. I have walked so many people through making zoom meetings. I have online chatted answering questions through three zoom meeting on how to use zoom. Monday I will be with instructors WHILE they are conducting their zoom classes and chatting with the students trying get online. I will be working from 8am - 7pm. IT was getting territorial a. Bit about allowing the instructional designers to see and resolve tickets- they wanted to triage them to us as needed. BUT THEY WEREN'T TRIAGING THEM. They have one guy not feeling well, working from home, and the assistant director is traveling. They finally let us have access and we were able to take care of a bunch of things for them while they were busy helping the research department prepare to move to WFH. Education Mission is still essential staff, and all of us in the Command Center are to report no matter what.
The director of the Master's Programs is quarantined because he was in NY, and now he has a fever. He had an appointment to be tested, but they cancelled. Luckily he has not been in because he was told by the Dean he had to self quarantine. But that also means he is out of the office and sick while his whole program has to be put online!
Oh, and our Dean was livid because the email that went out to all students (including the SON students) did't mention what the School of Nursing was doing. Our students have to come back to Rochester to complete clinical, but they can't come to class, those will be online. Which is totally different from what the email said!
Luckily- I am so anxious about this actual thing that I don't have time to be anxious about the virus itself or anything else.
I did it! Last Sunday!
Woo! Keep it up!
Well I don't have to decide on the BMX competition because they were wise enough to cancel. Phew.
Also, I thought the last week or so it was my responsibility to listen to "Presidential" addresses, but after that last mess I no longer feel obligated.
