I am feeling smugger than ever about my continued payment for the cable TV! That's where all the L&O is, and I have it!!!

We just cut the cord last week. So far the only glitches are Ride with Norman Reedus and Talking Dead. I've seen Law & Order so many times, I could probably replay the episodes in my head.
I have a lot of stuff recorded on my DVR, and with the sports cancellations, not a lot scheduled to record in the near future. I hope to do some catching up.
Just heard on my radio, so can't link to anything -- CA governor Gavin Newsom just issued an order authorizing the state to take over hotels to house COVID patients.
DH just got back from the courthouse where he paid a traffic ticket. He said the place was empty. Saw 4 actual citizens there to conduct business.
Well, my county has now declared a state of emergency and declared that community spreading has arrived.
Today's the last day of on-campus classes. My first class had 10 students (out of 63 registered), and the projector was broken, so I couldn't really teach anyway. I just had those ten students sign in and told them I'd give them an extra credit point on something, handed back their exams from last week, and left after ten minutes.
Today she was excited to be presented with kibble and gave me her signature melting look.
Yay Pearlie!
This is my usual work from home day. Starting next Tuesday, this will be my new normal for at least three weeks. At least it's nice spring weather and I can open the windows.
I found out that our performance reviews, which usually take place over the next month or so, will be pushed back to June. HR clearly recognizes that we will have no bandwidth whatsoever for that kind of pixel-pushing nonsense.
One of the things I like about my usual schedule is that I can do my shopping on weekday mornings, when there are very few people about. Not today, however. BJ's had lines from the front of the store to the back as people stockpiled. I saw several people buying extra grill-sized propane tanks, you know, just in case the virus takes down the electric grid. I just wanted some cheese and coffee. OTOH, gas prices are dropping like a stone ($2.17/gal at BJ's, $1.97 with a couple of coupons).
The regular supermarkets were better, although still more crowded than usual. I overheard an employee at Stop and Shop tell someone they were out of baby wipes in addition to any other sanitizing products. Seeing an opportunity, there was a promotional booth at one store selling a new anti-microbial cleaner (which of course would work only as well as soap against a virus).
I did a little morning panic shopping at the farmers market. Well basically I just bought double of all the stuff I buy every week. Plus a loaf of organic chocolate sourdough bread because it seemed like the kind of thing that's probably really good for the immune system.
Organic chocolate sourdough bread sounds like a perfect anti-viral to me! Mostly because I would be taking it behind closed doors and not sharing with anyone.
