"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The Hankses aren't that old and no doubt have the best medical care possible. I'm not overly concerned about their survival.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Consuela, that article was very persuasive. I take public transit and am also an essential worker. Because the School of Nursing reports through the Medical Center, we are basically on call to be drafted to work at the hospital in emergencies. So normally it is possible to work from home, but right now is an all hands on deck situation

I also need toilet paper. Or at least a backup roll!

Thrive to spite them

I posted this info on Facebook but I'll do it here too. Portable bidets or even perineal irrigation bottles are good alternatives to TP or can help you use less TP (for mostly drying off).

You can get a pack of 3 of the bottles (they look like snub nosed squeeze bottles) for around $5 on Amazon last I checked. The portable bidets are easier to use overall because they have an angled nozzle.

It takes more time than just TP because you need to fill it and want to use warm water. If you wash your hands before you use it and after and it doesn't touch your skin you shouldn't need to wash the whole bottle after every use. And it can help cut down on UTIs.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Is Scrappy out on a cruise right now? Or am I mis-remembering?

We now have a confirmed case in the county so I expect #s to increase exponentially soon. People are getting in telework applications and those all go through me now, so I should be busy.

Meanwhile, I am just going to buy a few more things for myself tonight: Tylenol, Advil, electrolyte drinks, chicken stock, and chicken noodle soup.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

So, a student at my school has had contact with someone is is currently being tested for the virus. In response, the university president immediately shut down the campus completely. Her emergency message to every started with the phrase,"This is a time for calm..."

Our wings are not tired.

I received and completed our 2020 census today!

Sending my sister home to NY on a plane this afternoon. She was hoping to come back again at the end of April for our other sister's 70th birthday, but she fears that won't be an option. The uncertainty. Yeah, that.

Had a bunch of EMS vehicles next door at 5 AM this morning and wasn't really going to be able to get back to sleep so I didn't bother to try. Alas, I suspect drugs, but will get the details from other neighbors later I imagine.

Lastly in Laura Land news, I'll take my son to early vote later today. I'll probably wait until next Tuesday to cancel out his vote. I'll see how I feel when I see the lines for early voting. Although we will cancel each other out on the big question, he will surely ask me how he is supposed to vote on the 4 local items.

Because books.

o.O -- in response to DX's university president's message.

The bakery is absolutely dead today.

In response to DXM's powers that be - @@.

Our wings are not tired.

Took my sister to get her nails done yesterday and my SIL reported that they have had tons of cancellations for nail appointments. She was not pleased with the business drop. Nail techs are just one of so many groups of workers that have no safety net, and none will be forthcoming.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Is Scrappy out on a cruise right now? Or am I mis-remembering?

They were planning on going on the JoCo Cruise, which as far as I know was not canceled. I do know that several guests dropped out.
