They're supposed to notify the administrators if they go out of state?? What are the admins supposed to do with that info?? Randomly decide if that makes it ok for them to go to class?

Now the instructions in Israel are not to hold events with more than 2000 participants in them. I really cannot see how the semester will start next week, but still no news from the university. The spring's sci-fi con next month will probably won't take place either.
I also won't go to a coworker's shiva and I feel guilty about it, but shivas right now are a petri dish.
My coworker's training (in our office, maybe 50 people??) just got cancelled! They are strongly discouraging gatherings of more than 25, which just seems wild.
The MA governor just declared a state of emergency. Not sure what that means for schools and government employees yet.
Mostly it means access to some federal funding, right?
This all-day remote conference was supposed to have a 30-minute break 45 minutes ago.
