Can they shut down Mueller now? Or would that finally be the bridge too far (if there is such a thing for these people)?

They can try and my guess is they will try before the new House is seated. Holidays should be fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would like one of his older firees to just flip and ATTACK from the private sector, like full on Sunday talk shows 100% F-HIM. Every policy, every opinion, just full opposition.

I mean it will not happen, but if I was writing the movie, someone old white male would do this out of personal spite.

Yesssss.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I have to wonder if Sessions' memories about things he did not recall will suddenly improve by, say, a lot.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

If they shut down Mueller, Pelosi and Schiff will call him to report his findings to Congress and televise the hearings. That's what they said.

What is even happening?

Kobach lost which is awesome. I may live in Missouri, but I feel more connected to Kansas (where I grew up and where my taxes go) so Kobach's defeat is pretty exciting for me.

oh god is it going to be Lindsey?

Current wisdom (which probably isn't worth much) is that it won't be Graham. I have seen speculation that it could be Kobach (which is why I grabbed your quote, Gud), but Whitaker (who's acting AG) has already has made it pretty clear he'd do anything for Dear Leader.

And even if Whitaker wouldn't get confirmed (I think this Senate would do anything for Trump too, but I'm saying if), who's to say it just won't take Trump a long time to replace him.

Is there a limit on how long an "acting" AG can head up the DOJ?

God, I hope so.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy about some of the results, not so much about others. Hogan won re-election here handily, which, sadly, doesn't surprise me. As Republicans go, he's not bad at all.(Seems to be another rare moderate in office)
