'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm sure this disorganization has nothing to do with the way the effectiveness of the CDC has been reduced.

Just a reminder -- if you're reading this at this particular moment it's 'Spring Forward' time and you're already an hour behind schedule.

I am awake and at the airport at this moment! On like four hours of sleep which is making me sniffle, which makes me feel the need to cough. Which I am trying not to do, at the airport...

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I felt so virtuous waking up early, which was then completely wiped out by the loss of that hour.

Boo daylight savings :(

I am chilling for several hours in SFO. Everyone is looking at everyone else very suspiciously. It makes me feel a phantom need to cough

Who was it having (elderly) relatives about to go on a cruise? I heard the Fed has now advised against for the elderly.

The corona virus fallout is going to get worse for a while before it gets any better. I have made a solemn vow that anyone who tells me that it is a fraud I will tell them that gargling with bleach kills 99% of the germs.

Punishingly Intricate

And it's likely to mostly go away over the summer and come with a vengeance in the fall.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I was just talking to someone today who is thinking about booking honeymoon flights to Italy for August, because they are so cheap right now, on the assumption that things will be OK in August. (They've been planning the Italy trip for months.)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Tep, I threw a shower for a friend that was a rousing success. And then, she went into labor as we were packing up the gifts. The hubbies came back and hers took her off to the hospital, so everything timed out just right. She had a healthy little boy late that night.

I, meanwhile, was recovering from having our second child, and waiting for my first period after, so they would install my IUD. As I was folding up the playpen, it started.

It was a helluva day at sea, sir!

Thrive to spite them

Tomorrow I start in the men's shoe dept. I'm kinda nervous but I know it will be fine. But it's commission and there is a man in the next county who traveled to Italy and now is in isolation. So I'm wondering how long before people stop going out as much to shop. And what will happen then. I'm hoping they will do something like not just suspend commission but set up temporary hourly rates (otherwise the hourly rates are super low).
