Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The nature cam footage that Jesse linked is very calming!

I was trying to identify all the animals and I got a lot of them right!

Just saw Warren is suspending too.

Inevitable after Massachusetts but I'm still upset. We still have her in the Senate, though!

I'll never stop being angry over Clinton. Haven't even tried. I'm more sad about Warren than angry, but that could be because I am out of angry.

^^That. I'm exhausted with the world.

cereal: I got the offer letter, and the guy who's hiring me told me backchannel that I could get $2 more if I asked for it, so I did, and I haven't heard anything from them since I sent them the email negotiating. It's been 24 hours and I'm hyperventilating. Come ON people. If they want me to start on Monday this thing needs to get rolling.

edit: Not $2, $2k. Jeez.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

All of the pundits who have anything to say about Warren today can just shut the fuck up.

Our wings are not tired.

As a distraction from pain I'll report on my first Silent Book Club meeting!

About 8 of us met at a local beer joint. Very cozy comfy venue. Lots of comfy couches and chairs, good beer and wine choices and light eats. A couple of us were able to read during the hour reading time, but mostly there was giggling and eye rolling and whispers. Besides our group there was a group of 6 men playing D&D. The DM had a voice that seriously filled the room, and He Never Stopped Talking. He took one potty break where we all burst out laughing. I have the ability to focus despite noise around me after decades of a loud husband and sons, but several of the others just gave up after reading the same paragraph repeatedly. But a good time was had by all and we hope next time to meet at a place that has an outdoor area which should still be okay in April and not too warm at night.

My friend had Sangria which is served in pint sized plastic bags with a straw in it, like an adult capri sun or something. Fun packaging they use for a number of drinks.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds like a fun spot, if not the best place to read!

Meanwhile, my job is all coronavirus all the time, and it's making me nuts. I have decided that Canada is not "international" for these purposes, so I'm not going to give my job all the details of my vacation, because that is ridiculous.

Now tagless for your comfort.

A coworker gave me a nice thank you at the Library today!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds fun, Laura!

I support your assessments, Jesse

Cookie! That's awesome, Cashmere!

A coworker bought me lunch for helping her with something yesterday. It took me approximately two minutes to do the thing but I am trying to graciously accept her gratitude.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Heh, I read that as bear joint, not beer joint, the first time through.

That jollied me out of my funk over Warren, a little. I have to respect her wisdom and decision-making, but I'm more than a little in mourning for What Could Have Been.

That's adorable, Cashmere!
