Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Boot over the edge edge

I mean, I liked Mayor Pete, but there was no way he was gonna win.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yeah, I've been hearing a lot of wailing over this, by people who apparently had no grasp of reality. It was nice that Buttigieg got unexpectedly far, but he was not going to become the nominee or President in this year.

Good lord, at the rate this is going I won't be able to get to Mexico because seattle is the center of corona virus! Yikes!! (This is also making me super paranoid about the tickle in my throat that is probably either imaginary or allergies or possibly even a cold but almost certainly not corona virus)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was wondering how all you Washingtonians were doing. I heard there was a State if Emergency but I haven't figured out what that means. And apparently we have a State of Emergency here (in the county), too? It seems to just mean the schools are disinfecting surfaces more often so far, but I've been advised to have 3 weeks of food on hand just in case. Which I might already have, I need to inventory to e sure, but I could probably stretch it if I had to. 6 weeks of cat food, I know that.

Anyway, I hope you get your trip and stay healthy, meara!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cindy, msbelle, thanks for the calling and canvassing. I am so worn out over the past three election cycles that I am not sure I can handle it. I was a volunteer organizer in 2016 and, after spending 30 hours a week in the campaign office, the results gutted me. (I mean, they gutted us all, but I am not ready for phone banking and canvassing again quite yet.)

Except now we have a local candidate challenging the GOP state senator who won after some gerrymandering twisted the district enough to take a 35 year democrat-held seat with a University into a republican seat during the Scott Walker years. Gah. I at least made a donation to his campaign.

My goal was to survive the Trump years on wine and sheet cake. Well, dammit, I have the diabetes now, so we pretty much need this election.

Oh, great. Now I can't even watch Steel Magnolias and say, "at least I don't have diabetes."

Wish you all the 'ma, Cash.

All the -ma in the world, Cashmere.
