Now tagless for your comfort.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

One side benefit of my job: since I'm shopping a whole lot, I'm collecting tons of the Monopoly game cards from the supermarkets and faithfully plugging them into the slots on the game board. Since I'm pretty sure the "game" is rigged so that you have to collect dozens of pieces to find rare ones, I figure that I might just have a chance in hell of getting even one of the lower-level prizes.

Ooh, Theo, are you going to multiple stores? I figure THAT's the only way to win anything.

Speaking of jobs--a position opened up in the ASD program in the transition (18-26 year olds) program and I got it! I worked there last year as a sub and LOVED it, so I'm glad to be going back. I've definitely enjoyed being with the littles, but will not miss changing pull-ups and standing around in 30-degree weather at recess. I start as soon as we get back from the cruise.

Awesome, Scrappy!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have an in-person interview from the NDA place on Monday. Two interviews, actually. They want me to bring writing samples showing GUI documentation. Guess what? Anything from last job is protected by an NDA.

Sigh.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And they must have 3 references. Right now. With phone numbers.

Thrive to spite them

So a directive came down from corporate about disinfecting and having hand sanitizer at all cash registers. My supervisor went to Walmart, which was out, and finally found a lot of stuff someplace. So they were going around wiping down things like the escalator handle thing and all the registers etc.

One of my co workers got a little freaked out but I told them we should have been doing this all winter. And honestly we should do this all the tim.

And one co worker has been living in a no news bubble "it's just so negative I don't watch the news" and had NO IDEA about Covid 19. None .

I don't know what is going to happen with everything but I am getting worried about y parents. Especially mom since her lungs aren't the best.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

One interesting thing that I read in the coverage is that one of the reasons that flu season is so impossible to control is that 14% of influenza infections don't show any symptoms at all. So some of those people who don't get the annual shot "and don't get sick ever" are still actually spreading the disease.

I have several friends my age with chronic asthma, so I'm very worried about them, too. And all my residents at work.
