On the bright side, if you're a Tier One employee, they'd probably pay for your Covid testing if it becomes necessary. They need you to be healthy!
One side benefit of my job: since I'm shopping a whole lot, I'm collecting tons of the Monopoly game cards from the supermarkets and faithfully plugging them into the slots on the game board. Since I'm pretty sure the "game" is rigged so that you have to collect dozens of pieces to find rare ones, I figure that I might just have a chance in hell of getting even one of the lower-level prizes.
I thought at first you had a case of the Chris Evans.
I thought the same thing!
I did too, but I felt silly saying it. I must have forgotten where I was.
Plei is one who usually has a case of the Chris Evans.
I know more people with a case of the Chris Evens. But not the practical kind, that Jess mentions:
I Could Maybe, if I had a case of Chris Evans.
Right?
It comes in cases? I'm getting one.
Same, flea.
A case is 12, right? I'm a giver and would totally split 12 Chris Evanses with 11 others.
This feels like one of those, "I couldn't eat a whole cookie by myself" things.
I would totally take an extra Chris Evans to prevent him from going to waste.
I am still earwormed with Joni Mitchell's "Case of You", with Chris Evans name shoved in.
Okay, if y'all have an extra Chris Evans I'll take one too.
Not to mention that I work in the building with the Clinical Center(which has sectioned off an area for corona virus patients) so I guess I have to be very careful.
Careful indeed. In my medical office visits I have been trying to not touch any of the railings and door nobs and that kind of thing. As much for the general colds and flu type stuff as anything. I should toss some hand cleaner stuff in my purse. They have it everywhere in the offices, although more a fan of the soap and water than chemical stuff.
DH and I are going on the JoCo cruise next week, and we've had a couple friends advise us not to go because of the virus. Despite working in a school with first graders and being surrounded by an almost visible cloud of germ and viruses at all times, I am not particularly scared. Neither of us are big worriers so we're still going.
Speaking of jobs--a position opened up in the ASD program in the transition (18-26 year olds) program and I got it! I worked there last year as a sub and LOVED it, so I'm glad to be going back. I've definitely enjoyed being with the littles, but will not miss changing pull-ups and standing around in 30-degree weather at recess. I start as soon as we get back from the cruise.
So good to hear, Scrappy!! Enjoy the cruise and keep your personal bubble wide. My niece and friends just got back from a cruise. Like flying it does make for more air sharing, but you know the prevention drill well enough.
A 5pm Friday meeting?? That's cruel.
Who does that? Psychopaths, that's who.
I don't have the mental wherewithal to deal with the virus. Just washing my already chapped hands and watching Cells at Work, hoping my white blood cells are as zealous.

Thanks, Cindy! Fixed it.
Guh, I have a little headcold. Unpleasant but I ran the steps anyway.
Guess what? President's Day Sale at Macy's continues through this weekend. So we're going mattress shopping tomorrow.
Some steep discounts out there.
