Our wings are not tired.

Okay, if y'all have an extra Chris Evans I'll take one too.

Not to mention that I work in the building with the Clinical Center(which has sectioned off an area for corona virus patients) so I guess I have to be very careful.

Careful indeed. In my medical office visits I have been trying to not touch any of the railings and door nobs and that kind of thing. As much for the general colds and flu type stuff as anything. I should toss some hand cleaner stuff in my purse. They have it everywhere in the offices, although more a fan of the soap and water than chemical stuff.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

DH and I are going on the JoCo cruise next week, and we've had a couple friends advise us not to go because of the virus. Despite working in a school with first graders and being surrounded by an almost visible cloud of germ and viruses at all times, I am not particularly scared. Neither of us are big worriers so we're still going.

Speaking of jobs--a position opened up in the ASD program in the transition (18-26 year olds) program and I got it! I worked there last year as a sub and LOVED it, so I'm glad to be going back. I've definitely enjoyed being with the littles, but will not miss changing pull-ups and standing around in 30-degree weather at recess. I start as soon as we get back from the cruise.

So good to hear, Scrappy!! Enjoy the cruise and keep your personal bubble wide. My niece and friends just got back from a cruise. Like flying it does make for more air sharing, but you know the prevention drill well enough.

Now tagless for your comfort.

A 5pm Friday meeting?? That's cruel.

Who does that? Psychopaths, that's who.

I don't have the mental wherewithal to deal with the virus. Just washing my already chapped hands and watching Cells at Work, hoping my white blood cells are as zealous.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Thanks, Cindy! Fixed it.

Guh, I have a little headcold. Unpleasant but I ran the steps anyway.

Guess what? President's Day Sale at Macy's continues through this weekend. So we're going mattress shopping tomorrow.

Some steep discounts out there.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Went to the comic book store for the first time in a few months.(This seems to be the new trend. I used to go once a month, but now...)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

If my being a codger weren't already official, I struck up a conversation with another customer in the Firestone waiting room today and unironically began a sentence, "back in the old days..."

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My codgerness was having a conversation with the high school grocery store clerk about the new ban on plastic bags. I worked when we switched from paper TO plastic. I kind of wonder if they will re-introduce baggers. We had "bagboys" who bagged the order while we were ringing, before the "scan and bag" plastic days. Or we would bag for each other if there were only a few customers. I say "bagboys" because that is what we called them, but it practice, they were two very elderly men most of the time.
