ok, job has called. Background email should be incoming today, as well as either a call or email about setting up physical. 3/2 is a go for start date.

I have someone coming out Thursday to give me an estimate on gate and garage door.

I'm gonna eat some lunch and then go get meds and talk to pet store about dog walkers.

WHEE!!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Zen, if I have everything moved from old place to new at one swell foop, so to speak, it shouldn't be that much more expensive ... and allow me to get unpacked at once rather than waiting for pieces to arrive.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds right to me, Toddson.

Git'er done, msbelle!

Our wings are not tired.

I keep not reading the owner's manual.

I don't have a manual as such. All the car info is located online in videos. I expect there are lots of videos for various cars now.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Seconding here for the online videos -- I've been able to do stuff like change my own headlights because of them. I miss the 'onboarding' that I got with my Subaru, though, because it was new, I got a 45 minute (something like that -- I was a quick learner) session with a guy who showed me ALL the bells and whistles.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

msbelle, go you with the settling in progress!

We're trying to get back into our regular routine, even though neither TCG or I are back up to full health. ltc went back to school, and TCG just took her to karate. No more letting ltc have a zillion shows a day so she will rest or letting her eat whatever she wants just to make sure she's eating. There is resistance.

Our wings are not tired.

I have to say that sick Laura sounds a lot like sick ltc. I'm all about too much television and bad food when sick.

Yeah, sick me is the same way. Only, I was the momma this time so I didn't get much tv that I actually enjoyed.

I'm watching Batwoman while they're gone, and then I need to figure out dinner.
