Now tagless for your comfort.

meara, we buy new but keep forever, so I just figure the sooner the first ding or scratch happens, the less I have to worry about keeping it pristine.

Good Luck, Zenkitty!

Go, msbelle! Do all the things!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Job~ma, Zenkitty! Magistrate sounds so fancy! Go you with the cleaning out and getting organized!

My mom is still getting used to and/or not using all the bells and whistles on her new car that I guess she has had for a year now? She likes the rear camera but actually still looks out the back window because that's what she's always done. My dad has used the auto-park thing a few times, I don't think Mom has, though. The heated seats they turned on accidentally but then decided were nice. It's not the actual features that are a problem, on the whole, it's figuring out how to turn them on and off. The Owner's Manual is multiple volumes and not terrifically well indexed.

Our wings are not tired.

Really, MSNBC and CNN are carrying the Kobe Bryant memorial live today. I could see maybe local LA media doing this.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In re my new apartment - I've been living in this one for 34 years ... and I don't think I've gotten rid of anything until this move came up. I've donated bags and bags of clothes and books, and still have more to get rid of (one more shipment of clothes and "household goods" and then I can work on the books). I've been saving for over a year, knowing I'd probably have to move, so I can afford some new furniture. There are some really badly worn things I'd like to replace and I'm definitely going to need at least one new rug ... my living room rug is in bad shape, although a professional cleaning might return it to usable, and the area rugs in the bedroom are completely worn out.

The new place, when large things arrive, they put them in a package room. I don't have the strength or mobility to move anything large or heavy ... where I am now, I've been able to pay the handyman to move stuff for me. The new place - I don't know them and I don't know if they'd be amenable to doing that. Also, since I don't usually get home before 7:00, I assume they'd have gone off duty by then.

I'm thinking - as space becomes available - of ordering new stuff, having it delivered to the old apartment, then having movers move the new stuff for me.

Thoughts? advice?

Our wings are not tired.

Since you have some time that might be a workable plan to have things delivered to your existing place. Still, I would check with the new place and find out what the options are. You are not the first person to have this issue.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks, y'all!

I have yet to figure out all the bells and whistles on my not-really-new-anymore car because I keep not reading the owner's manual. Not like I haven't have time...

Toddson, does Taskrabbit or something like it exist in your area? You could probably hire a strong young body or two for less than engaging movers.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, I'm a little horrified that I just got an email from Rugs USA asking if I still want to buy the rug I was looking at! I know cookies and everything, but I didn't tell them who I am!

ok, job has called. Background email should be incoming today, as well as either a call or email about setting up physical. 3/2 is a go for start date.

I have someone coming out Thursday to give me an estimate on gate and garage door.

I'm gonna eat some lunch and then go get meds and talk to pet store about dog walkers.

WHEE!!
