Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Did Tom Scola ever go to the doctor??

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yep. The doctor told me it was flu, and then proceeded to lecture me about my blood pressure for fifteen minutes.

EDIT: I'm at work now, mostly because I'm tired of my apartment, plus they're working on the plumbing and heating in my building today.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I hope you're feeling better, Tom. I was just wondering about that fever.

Finally looked at your car picture, Gud - pretty!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I am concerned about our "informed" electorate. At the Iowa caucus a woman - wearing an "Amy" button - had voted for "Mayor Pete" ... but she hadn't realized he was gay and wanted to change her form. (I didn't follow long enough to find out if she could - seemingly, having filled out the form? ballot? and handed it in, they had to get special permission for her to change.)

And at either a primary or a caucus, an older woman wanted to know why Trump wasn't on the ballot/form ... she didn't understand that this wasn't the general election and that there were all these names - none of them him - because it was to choose the Democratic candidate ... and she'd been registered as a Democrat for years.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sigh...why does it seem like every day when I get home, something else is borked.(I know why, but I wish Mr. S was more careful)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I bet being lectured at does great things for your blood pressure.

Our wings are not tired.

The last time my PCP took my BP it was absurdly high. Of course I hadn't slept all night due to ear pain from a sinus infection and drank an entire French Press of coffee prior to seeing him to wake up enough to drive there. I told him not to judge me and I would text him a picture from my home machine later. He was cool with that, but made me continue to send him text pictures for a few days.

Just got home from girl's night out with my son's MIL. We went to dinner then to a National Live Theater production of Cyrano de Bergerac. We were both exhausted by the end, but it was so very good.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Our fevers spiked again yesterday afternoon, and ltc and I are both really sick again. Also, my netflix account was hacked, which is not allowed when I have a sick kid. Thank goodness we also have Disney+. She had something to watch while I dealt with the issue.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yikes, what a pain. After a crazy-busy few days at work, I'm finally having a slow morning. Bored now...
