"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Our fevers spiked again yesterday afternoon, and ltc and I are both really sick again. Also, my netflix account was hacked, which is not allowed when I have a sick kid. Thank goodness we also have Disney+. She had something to watch while I dealt with the issue.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yikes, what a pain. After a crazy-busy few days at work, I'm finally having a slow morning. Bored now...

We were supposed to go to a birthday party for one of ltc's classmates tomorrow, but I just let them know we wouldn't be there. I'm probably also going to have to reschedule our theater tickets from Sunday to another day, if I can find a sitter.

I'm waiting for TCG to get home so I can nap. ltc won't nap even when sick.

I was at the doctor yesterday for routine checkup/refills and she noticed the MA had taken my blood pressure and it was high (like 140/90) and she was like "but maybe let me retake it now that you've been sitting here a minute" and it was 110/78. Way better.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In me news, I signed a lease for a new (to me) apartment this morning. Moving in May. Old building was sold, new owners are going to do a much-needed major renovation ... but the rent on a one bedroom will go up to $3,990. New place is another older building, but seems better maintained - it's large and the rent isn't much more than the old place. yay?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds like a yay!
