Sometimes I miss having powers... Oh. Oh! I know what this is! This is peer pressure! Any second now you're gonna make me smoke tobacco and--and have drugs!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, our factories in China don't know when they'll open again and pretty soon it'll be Songkram and all the factories in Thailand will close. Lotta uncertainty in the supply chain.

That is a winner of a footnote!

I finally left work but I missed my window for going straight from work to a movie. I'm also immensely tired, so my birthday treat will be early bedtime. It's kinda the perfect 51st birthday gift!

That stew sounds delicious, Hec.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

From David's article, regarding Rickey Henderson's 1990 season:

You knew Rickey was great, but those aren't just numbers. That's epic. That's the baseball equivalent of the Riders of Rohan topping the hill with the dawning light behind them and cleaving through the Uruk-Hai at Helm's Deep and driving the forces for darkness before them.

Well said.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I am sure Maggie will be thrilled by the soup, whether or not she's getting plenty of hearty food elsewhere. It sounds delicious!

Despite having a week's worth of groceries to cook at home, I wimped out and bought 99¢ tacos pastor and asada at the local taqueria for dinner. Also delicious! It's a tacos and tortilla chip kind of night.

That sounds like a good choice, Matt.

1990 was the year I graduated from college and I immediately moved in with my parents to save money while I worked 3 part time jobs and saved up for my first grad school attempt. Whenever our schedules worked out to allow it, my mom and I would get cheap seats at the Coliseum in a quest to see Ricky Henderson break the record for stolen bases. I feel enormously lucky that we were successful! I haven't really kept up watching baseball, but that was glorious.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have so much love and support for everyone's posts. But my cognitive load cannot handle responding individually.

Guys- this graduate school thing is killing me. I cannot continue to pull it out of my ass at the last minute like this, but on the other hand this seems to be how I work, so do I just roll with it? I just asked for an extension on my peer feedback, and then as soon as I did that, was able to complete the assignment in like, two hours. Otherwise, I seem to have analysis paralysis!

Well said.

Heh. Thanks, DXM!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so Yang and Bennett dropped out of race and now I am seeing one person reporting that Steyer is out, but I think she got confused with Bennett.

What is even happening?

now I am seeing one person reporting that Steyer is out, but I think she got confused with Bennett.

Ha!

Happy belated birthday, -t! I didn't realize it was your birthday yesterday, but I knew it was your birthday before I got to b.org tonight, because I went to my old email account that I seldom check, to see if I got a receipt for my donation to Elizabeth Warren, and I had a reminder from LiveJournal.

(It is, of course, my old email account, because entities like LiveJournal and ActBlue have the address.)

Thrive to spite them

Theo we have been trying to do date night but weather and varying work schedule makes it hard. Plus we would like to have just time alone for a nice at home Netflix and chill kinda night.

He and his mom are around each other WAY too much, they are home together almost all day because they are both on disability and stay at home. Benefits of a stay at home Boyfriend are dinners made almost every night and laundry done and I don't have to worry about it.

we've talked to her about doing stuff but she doesn't really drive and she hasn't really been receptive and she has a lot of anxieties about stuff.
