Sock it to me
Look it up in your Funk & Wagnall's.
Oh Mac. Doing good, buddy.
Epic, you need a thimble! Not that I've ever been able to use one. But, you know, theoretically one saves your skin from punctures and things.
If we have TOS, TNG, DS9, shouldn't it be VGR, and NTP? to keep with all the three characters thing?
We had another resident die -- given that many are in their 90s and quite frail, this is not surprising, but still makes for the saddening.
They're usually abbreviated as VOY and ENT.
Is it horrible that I keep thinking of it as Star Trek: Quantum Leap?
Timelies all!
I think the presence of Scott Bakula kept me watching Enterprise longer than I really should have.
Not from where I sit, Toddson. That's just good sense.
ETA same, Sheryl. Way longer
Matthew is a really good cook for someone who doesn't read recipes much and just throws things together but occasionally there are weird mis steps. He keeps wanting to add fruit to things that should not have fruit. Tonight he made a chicken and rice casserole that used some of the leftover spinach dip we had (my suggestion) and then he added random spices and diced fresh apple.
One issue is there wasn't enough liquid for teh rice to cook so we are trying to get it to cook but then also the taste is just odd.
I reacted badly when I realized there was apple in there and I feel bad and feel worse because I really don't want to eat more because the taste is off putting.
His mom is not an adventurous eater at all and I found a pretty basic recipe for sausage , sweet potatoes and apple casserole I thought we would all like and first he wanted to add a cream based sauce to it and then he was talking about adding mango to it as well. And I keep tryign to point him to cookbooks or cooking blogs so he can get some ideas but he isn't interested.

FWIW, this has increased my interest level (which was already fairly high) by roughly 400%.
