Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

they scanned and saved the items in a folder on the computer instead of labeling a Manila ffolder!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'll get to Locke and Key soon -- sounds like my kind of fun, especially the house lust. I've just discovered Bitten, so I'm binging my way through that.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My boss was like-where is the folder ??? When she got the documents back. It wasn't even on the shared drive!

They also do not check voicemail. I finally realized that they though I was superseding voicemail by giving them other tasks. No- still check the voicemail and the email IN Addition to your projects.

Sophia, do you have process documents for tasks. And a daily/weekly tasks document?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Jesse, are you saying the fancy beans were just okay or was that something else?

I did the Martinez Wine Stroll yesterday which was very fun, as it always is, but was 25 pours of wine in 3 hours, not all of which were as small as they were supposed to be. Good thing I strategically plotted our route to end at the coffee shop and mom just skipped all the zinfandels and merlots or we would have had to just nap in the car. Followed that with a fascinating lecture on hummingbirds and how they are being studied. Problems I never thought of like certain tests are designed for 4g of liver tissue but a whole hummingbird is only 3g...

Today is Beethoven's ninth, part if the global anniversary celebration. Whee!

Sophia, here's a suggestion: every time one of these tasks gets set on your plate and you have to help them do it, send out a debriefing email documenting just what was done, and CC all relevant parties. First, it will help by documenting what is to be done in this particular circumstance (and even better if you add, "and parts like this can be found in the X catalog" to ahem-encourage individual initiative).

The first handful of emails are helpful, but as they pile up -- especially for the managers irksome -- the cluelessness of the seekers will become more apparent, and also just how much energy you're having to put into cleaning up for other staffers.

Basically, you want to weaponize the bureaucracy in your favor.

Sara drove me around a bunch of industrial and South of me Baltimore today and it was awesome, but we saw a place that had a sign for "Nude Sip & Paint" and I was all HELL TO THE NO! WHAT THE HELL?!?!

and apparently there are both sip & paint events where models are nude AND where painters have the option to be nude and they are EVERYWHERE.

crawling back into my prude cabin. I just would rather not know.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S woke us up at 2:30 this morning crying because he wet the bed.(Sadly, I'm not surprised as he ripped the last nighttime pull-up and ended up putting underwear on) It has been a rough day.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The Oscars are already making me feel a little strange.
