Dcp, I should've asked for a disk! But my doc is supposed to review them and then let me know. The tech sounded like there was definitely inflammation, but whether it is an unexpected level or just "well yeah you're still healing", I don't know. And whether anything can be done about it is also a question I don't know. Fingers crossed there's an easy answer.

Last night I went to this thing called "crowdsource choir"—about 30-40 folks showed up and a guy taught us 3 and 4 part harmony for "I wanna know what love is" and then we sang it. And it was so much fun!! I'm not sure I want to join a regular choir and show up all the time and feel like I have to sing super well, but it was so fun to be singing in harmony and hearing other people in a better way than karaoke?

Our wings are not tired.

That sounds fun, meara. Also, hope you get a plan with answers from the doctor.

I'm super unproductive today and will likely have to make up for it this weekend. Miserable because I got several bites of some kind and tore up my arm because I have no self-control when it comes to itching. Made a nice blood blister on the side of my finger. I have a nail appointment this afternoon so I may have my SIL lance it since she is good at that kind of stuff. Also, moan, cry, complain in big baby fashion.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds so fun, meara!

Work is eating my brain. I never know what day it is anymore. And I am way overscheduled this weekend, with fun stuff that I want to do, but still, a lot of stuff. So I don't expect to be really clearheaded for the foreseeable future

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I had to capture one of the last two alley cats behind my building this morning and take him to the vet for an injured/infected foot. He was Not Happy, and may not trust me anymore after the terror of his first car ride. But, he's been treated with antibiotics, de-wormed, and neutered, with a clean bill of health other than the injury.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The upstairs tv has a cracked screen. We think that something Mr. S threw last night did it. Sigh...

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

That sounds fun, meara! I'll have to look for something like that around here. My friend and I were talking about trying to find a choir opportunity (non-church, she's a wiccan), but the only thing she had found so far was super-expensive to join. We'd love something like what you found!

Good luck, msbelle!

You're a good human, Matt!

I've been scrambling to finish the needlepoint on another section of my Irish dress in advance of a performance Sunday afternoon. I really need to try to be more sensible and do small sections when I'm not under deadline instead of my current process of waiting until the last minute, scrambling to do a ton of work in a short time, then not wanting to touch it until the next deadline. It's like cramming for finals, except with embroidery.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Go msbelle! Yay meara!

Matt, thank you for taking care of that cat.

Edited: oh, Epic, I'd love to see that dress!

In case you might remember, that fun paper I decided to write about zombies is now the most depressing paper I had to write, a thought experiment in anthropology to plan a research on how people imagine the end of mankind. Maybe I should add a picture of a baby elephant or a recommendation to watch Good Omens in the conclusion.

I'll take a new pic tonight (the last one I took was a while ago, and this thing is seriously an ongoing project), and post it on FB.

I'm intrigued.

Maybe I should add a picture of a baby elephant or a recommendation to watch Good Omens in the conclusion.

Both very good things.

What is even happening?

You're a good (and brave) man, Matt.
