Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Teppy, how is Carrot Husband?

Recovery is going really well. He's taking 3 little walks a day, adding a minute each day (like, yesterday was 3 walks of 7 minutes, and today is 3 walks of 8 minutes, etc; it drops down to 2 walks a day when the time hits 12 or 13 minutes per walk). His energy is good, and he's napping when he needs to. A home health nurse has visited twice this week and says he's doing great. People who have visited this week said he sure doesn't seem like someone who just had heart surgery last week (although if they could see all the incisions and bruising, they'd change their tune).

I have to help him shower, which is actually physically taxing for me (pretty sure I pulled a big muscle in my middle back that wraps around my ribs, and it really fucking hurts), and he keeps interrupting me when I'm trying to read really dirty fanfic, but other than that, having him around 24/7 is a pretty good thing so far. He'll be off work for at least 1 more week, maybe 2, so we'll see how long it takes for one of us to murderize the other.

Timelies all!

Tomorrow is the annual FSGW Mid-Winter festival. We'll see how much we get to do while keeping Mr. S occupied.

Cindy continued~ma for your son.

Teppy, I'm glad your DH is recovering well.

Sorry to meltdown earlier. I've been in complete sloth mode lately, and I got upset that on a day I was actually getting stuff done that I fucked up so badly. My car is the only one with a car seat, and I was cutting it very close to get ltc in time after waiting for AAA.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh no, just read about javachick! Here's hoping for a swift recovery -- bad flu can really knock you down.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

sj, I put my phone in my bag before we left the house so I wouldn't forget it, then got in the car and freaked out because I'd forgotten my phone.

Our wings are not tired.

Thank you for the update, Pix. So much ~ma headed toward javachick's recovery. Ouch! Not a way to vacation.

{{sj}} Sorry about the rough day.

Stupid day for me. When I put my head to pillow last night it was ouchy from an earache much to my surprise. I figured it was swimmer's ear because I am super prone to it. Texted my doctor this morning asking for drugs and he insisted I come in so he could look. Told him I was going to show up unshowered in jammies and he was all whatever, just come in. So I cleaned up and dressed. Says not swimmer's ear but a sinus infection and loaded me up with nasal spray and steroids and anti-biotics. Also is making me text him my BP twice a day because it was 170/94. It was down by the time I got home. I told him to cut me a break since I was in pain and sleepless and drank a full pot of coffee on my own before seeing him to try and wake up. So a weekend of popping drugs for me. Yuck. I bought a bunch of yogurt while getting them. I almost never have taken any meds because they don't agree with my body.

Dana, I do that at least once a day. I knew the second I shut the trunk I knew what I did.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I got an email today from the company that manages my Health Savings Account, asking me about some suspect charges: three purchases from "ADIDAS US ONLINE STORE 800-9829337 OR" two days ago, totalling $596. Fraud!

I called the support number to start the dispute process. It turns out there were other recent charges, most from the same online store. The total was almost $1900! That's a lot of shoes.

I'm glad the fraud detection system worked. The HSA debit card as been cancelled, and a replacement should be on its way to me soon. Telling myself "Well, it could have been worse," doesn't seem to be helping very much. Now I'm worried that CVS has been hacked.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

That's a change. Usually my HSA chases after me for completely valid charges.

I was going to say a nice change, but that's not nice at all.
