Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Glad you found your purse, -t, I had sympathy heart palpitations when you said it was lost! And glad you're finally getting hot water back, Theo!

I talked with a couple folks at the employment training place Wednesday. The program will, in theory, pay for me to get training to start a new career, but I don't know how helpful it will really be. They'll pay for me to go back to school for information technology but that would be like 2 years and will the faeries buy me groceries in the meantime? Or I could get a certification in Six Sigma and go into project management, which is probably my best option for a decent job but it sounds so boring I want to barf just thinking about it.

I'm starting to have fantasies like, "maybe I can make a living refinishing furniture!" and "maybe I can sell a book!" I don't want a job, I just need money, you know?

IDK how I got the idea you meant "fence" by "wall", Laura. It'll look awesome in your pool room.

boring job for now = $$ to do non-boring things.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That will be amazing, Laura!

{{{Zen}}} "I don't want a job I just need money" is the story of my life. I have no advice but I'm rooting for you to find a satisfying way through.

$$ to buy whiskey to numb the pain of doing boring things

I was thinking travel and nice dinners out and whatnot, but you can drink whiskey while doing those things too (in moderation - mom voice).

Phone interview with HR lady in 2 hours - job huntress just called. Project Administrator is job title and I did not even catch the company name or industry. Waiting on confirmation email to get info and do research.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

One of my neighbors, who went to school with the boys, is quite an artist and I have asked her to do a mural on a 8x15 foot wall in the house.

That is awesome.

Yay hot water, Theo! You will need it today.

Good job thoughts to everyone.

Librarian Warlord

Hope the phone interview goes well, msbelle! When do you plan to be in B'more yourself?

I am camp planning and one of the parents is acting like a child. We have 4 girls who wanted to go to a camp together. Two got in, two got waitlisted. The two waitlisted girls signed up for a different week, so they weren't shut out entirely. I say we just tell the girls this is what happened, and plan the rest of summer. Problem parent says, "that won't work" for his daughter, because she only really wants to go to camp with one of the waitlisted girls and will pitch a fit. Twice. It is taking all my self control to ask him WHAT THE HELL.

Our wings are not tired.

Parents! They are the worst. As a coach poor DH has to put up with them all the time.

What are people doing this weekend? None of my doctors are off Monday so no day off for me.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Sparky, sounds like a good time for Problem parent to introduce his daughter to Classic Rock during her free time this summer, starting with "You Can't Always Get What You Want" by the Stones.

Yay for hot water and found purses!
