yay plumbers!
my Friday miracle is that after sleeping in all week and even though it is cold and rainy for the second day in a row, I got up before 8 and got the trash out AND remembered to take out the broken vacuum that has been sitting in the living room for weeks.
Woohoo plumbers! Woohoo getting that broken vacuum out of the living room. I want to make a nature abhors a vacuum joke but I'm not sure how the vacuum being broken would affect nature's feelings. Better or worse?
I don't know if bustles are evil but this one was certainly engaged in a cover up
What a relief, so pleased you found the purse, -t.
I am husbandless for the next 4 days. Basketball tournament. I halfheartedly offered to go with him, knowing it wasn't really possible. So now I am thinking of what kind of house projects I can do while he is away.
Speaking of house projects! I have one I am excited about. One of my neighbors, who went to school with the boys, is quite an artist and I have asked her to do a mural on a 8x15 foot wall in the house. I gave her several idea images but made it clear to her that I am 100% left brained and that she was to have freedom to do what she wanted. I was looking for tropical and abstract basically. Here is one of her pieces, but mine would be more abstract. [link] She is super excited because she grew up with my kids.
Wow, Laura, that's a beautiful painting. Something like that would be amazing on your fence.
msbelle, hard to believe your moving date is so close. This month is going by so fast. But try not to stress out! You're awesomely competent and it will all get done and you'll be so happy when you're settled in to your new home!
I have had Adventures lately and I am tired but somewhat less depressed/anxious but also still unemployed and the liquid level in the bank account is starting to scare me.
The mural will be in the large family room where the pool table is. Mostly the walls are white with a couple teal accent walls. I can't wait! She thinks she is doing this for free as a friend, kinda extra daughter, just having me buy the paint. I have to figure out how much to give her, because I value her talent!
Glad you found your purse, -t, I had sympathy heart palpitations when you said it was lost! And glad you're finally getting hot water back, Theo!
I talked with a couple folks at the employment training place Wednesday. The program will, in theory, pay for me to get training to start a new career, but I don't know how helpful it will really be. They'll pay for me to go back to school for information technology but that would be like 2 years and will the faeries buy me groceries in the meantime? Or I could get a certification in Six Sigma and go into project management, which is probably my best option for a decent job but it sounds so boring I want to barf just thinking about it.
I'm starting to have fantasies like, "maybe I can make a living refinishing furniture!" and "maybe I can sell a book!" I don't want a job, I just need money, you know?
IDK how I got the idea you meant "fence" by "wall", Laura. It'll look awesome in your pool room.
boring job for now = $$ to do non-boring things.
That will be amazing, Laura!
{{{Zen}}} "I don't want a job I just need money" is the story of my life. I have no advice but I'm rooting for you to find a satisfying way through.
boring job for now = $$ to do non-boring things.
$$ to buy whiskey to numb the pain of doing boring things
