I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I plan to be away from a TV, possibly with a nice long fanfic, and some Ambien. I do not want a repeat of two years ago, crying on the couch. I will deal with whatever happened on Wednesday morning.

My favorite "negative" text-banking response so far has been "Sorry, I died."

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Hah, Dana.

I'm so stressed that I'm taking tomorrow off and going hiking somewhere remote and off-line with a friend who works at EPA. We'll take the dogs and some snacks and climb a ridge and hopefully be out of cell-phone range for most of the day. Then, I think, tacos and beer.

BTW, I just started listening to Rachel Maddow's new podcast, BagMan, about Spiro Agnew. It's interesting but I wish she would stop hammering the Trump parallels so hard. WE KNOW.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, I love Rachel, but after her 20-30 minute opening monologues on her show I inevitably think that she could have made that point in 3 minutes.

I'll be driving my elder son to the polls tomorrow because he never changed his polling location after moving 6 years ago! He still shows as active. Honestly, the reason he didn't change is because he wanted to stay in Broward to vote against Debbie Wasserman Schultz. He is voting for the Independent Bernie Bot running against her. Whatever, as long as he votes. He will do the right thing for the Senate and Governor races here so it all works out. He is excited about Gillum and asked me for a sign for his yard, which I provided.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I enjoy her openings. I inevitably learn about something new. I haven't started bagman yet. Maybe when I'm done with my current audiobook.

That sounds really nice Consuela. I have very little optimism left and am not sure what I'll do. Don't have tv and don't want to be refreshing the post all night or anything

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I plan to be near a TV, either watching Curious Creations of Christine McConnell or playing MarioKart. I may take Twitter off my phone for the day.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I could say I'm not going to watch returns tomorrow night, but that's a damn lie. I will.

One of the local bars is having a party tomorrow night to watch returns, and for its Facebook event post, they used Captain America's shield. I scrolled too quickly and thought, "Hey, Northside Tavern is showing Captain America on election night! That's a great idea!" (SPOILER: They are not showing Captain America.)

I'm not going to their party, because I would get HAMMERED, and I am too damn old to recover well from getting hammered anymore.

Because books.

I'm not watching tomorrow night. Last time was too much.

Any idea why I have a little red "Not secure" message in the address bar for this site now?

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

The Chrome browser recently changed its definition of "not secure" to include any web site that does not have encryption turned on.

Hopefully, that's one of the things that will be fixed with Gudanov's new version of the site.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I have plans that will keep me away from the TV until about 9:30. I plan to be in bed with the lights out by 10:30, 11:00 at the latest. That should be enough time to get the trends without obsessing all night long. And get enough sleep to be awake at work on Wednesday.
