Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ryan makes me happy.

Gud, that cabinet is excellent.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Very nice, Gud!

Sophia, you'll be spending 1/3 of your life, five out of seven days a week for the next several years, doing something. If that something can be an activity you actually like, I think you should go for it.

Thanks guys. I am pretty sure of my decision, but I needed to hear feedback. I know I dont care about the money-- I would have been perfectly content doing my same job until retirement. I only started looking when there were rumblings of "a person at your level can't make decisions at this other level"and I knew my job would not be my job any more.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I have sides now. The one that will be hinged is clamped on for the time being.

Most of the arcade cabinet is storage space filled with office supplies.

It really sounds like you are making the right decision Sophia.

I hope Mr. S gives in soon.

Or rather, looking at the timestamps, gave in soon.

brillig

I saw my sister-in-law at the grocery store today, she's the customer service manager. One of her people was organizing a display nearby and horsing around a little, making her roll her eyes. As I left her to continue shopping, I said, "Have a good day, beat somebody up." I heard her walk to her worker and say "My sister-in-law says I get to beat somebody up. I choose you." He laughed, so I wasn't too worried. It tickles me to be claimed as family in a conversation that I have no part in.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, Gud -- that's incredible!

And you're definitely doing the right thing, Sophia. The people who went to bat for you did it because they care about you (professionally, at least!) and want to see you in the right role.

Connie, that is cute!

I guess my fear is how stupid it looks to give up an easy job paying better money for something that is lower paying, but more interesting. I just don't know how long I can keep telling educators that they can't assess thing like discuss with a multiple choice test. And then convince them of it. I never thought that sales would be my jam, which recruitment sort of is, but matching people with the right way to further their growth- that is my jam and that is what potential new job is

Sophia maybe they just need to reclassify your old job to pay better? :)
