What is even happening?

Someone sounds like he inherited Dad's smarts, Gudanov.

Happy belated 10th anniversary to ND and Pix. (Wow, that makes me feel as old as being the mom to a bunch of adults).

Laura and msbelle, I'm glad to read about your sons' progress. When do you expect to make your big move, msbelle?

Teppy, I'm sorry you and Tim are going through so much. I hope he continues to feel better, and that he won't need surgery. When he does pass the superhero threshold, will you be renting him out for odd jobs? Also, are carrots his spinach?

C should be headed back to college in a couple of weeks. However, the course of Crohn's Disease never did run smooth. One of his liver tests has been wonky and got a little wonkier. He has to have a scan later this week.

We're hoping this is just the body's response to resuming his infusions and/or adding the methotrexate. Otherwise, his latest appointment went really well. His inflammation numbers are nice and low. He's hit his target weight (and never weighed this much before in his life, which is nice).

Someday, I'm going to post something which doesn't need to be edited. /Pollyanna

Our wings are not tired.

Indeed! So good to hear he is getting this level of encouragement. Is he going to college locally?

Excellent health update, Cindy. I'm sure that C is more than ready to resume the normalcy of going back to school.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My son was told at DST Systems, where he is interning, that he'll be offered a job when he graduates. Kid is 17. Seems unreal.

When he graduates from high school?? Wow.

C should be headed back to college in a couple of weeks.

That's great to hear!

When he graduates from high school?? Wow.

He graduated high school last summer, this will be when he graduates college.

Is he going to college locally?

Yep, it University of Central Missouri which has a local campus. He should get his associates this summer and his bachelors two years after that. He also won't have any debt.

He's been in a really great local program for tech professionals. I feel like it's going to give him a big jump start in life.

I don't think so, he's way smarter than I am. He's a literal genius.

So great to hear that C is heading back to school. It has to feel good to have sense of normal.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Cindy - movers load on 1/24 and I start driving out the next day.

So glad to hear that C is headed back to school. COME ON LIVER!!

Wow Gud! That is great news.

Mornings are getting harder and harder. Combo of the easy packing is mostly done, chilly mornings, cedar allergy season, and fewer hard deadlines right on my ass. So, I am giving myself some deadlines - otherwise the last few days before movers will be a MESS.

Today is: sign documents (movers and IRA changes), call HR about COBRA, and mail packages (donation items and consignment used clothes). Maybe also drop off more donations (my trunk is completely full).

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Gud, congratulations to your son! That is great to hear.

I'm at the library bookstore while ltc is at school. Not many customers so I'm finding too many books to buy.
