Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sorry, Steph!

Bon voyage, Jess!

Occasionally, while I walking to work, I get to see Peter Dinklage taking his daughter to the fancy private school in my neighborhood. I hope he realizes the hoodie he wears does much to disguise him.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Adios, Jess, have fun!

Eta you all pretend he's incognito, though, right Tom? This is what I have been led to believe is the convention.

OF COURSE we do. This is NYC, not some podunk town.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh no! I hope Tim's pain level is better today.

I'm excited for Jess being in Cuba. I'd love to take a trip there. My DIL has family there, but I am not sure how complicated it would be to connect. So Jess, have a blast, enjoy the cuisine, and take pictures!

Speaking of islands in my back yard, so upset for the poor people of Puerto Rico. They really didn't need more destruction.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Ugh Steph that sounds rough and a long night. My dad's pain is mostly arthritis at this point (back and neck) and they gave him an injection on Monday to hopefully ease the pain.

Mac registered for classes! on his own! he was so late in doing so that he did not get what we had planned on, or maybe his friends had talked him into changing that anyway. Who knows? But he is registered for 2 classes and I can pay the bill and get reimbursement for this month's rent!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Tim's pain level is about a 2 today, so that's a big improvement. Last night it wasn't just a 10; I think it re-set his concept of what a 10 is (upwards). They sent him home with percocet and steroids and a referral to an orthopedist. It's possible he can have arthroscopic surgery on his elbow to clean out any bone or cartilage fragments, which would provide some relief. Elbow replacement is also a thing, but doctors don't like to do it for people in their 50s, because they're so young and the replacement wears out. (But on the other hand, if his elbow is so fucked up that he can't function, a replacement might be the best option, even if it wears out.)

But (because things are never uncomplicated) he has to have his valve replacement surgery first. He meets with the surgeon tomorrow to discuss it and (I assume) schedule the surgery.

I think he just needs all his wonky parts swapped out for bionic parts and then he can do some superheroing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds right.

Woot! Progress for sure.

My eldest is working at the Walmart grocery. Stocking. He likes it. Says it is stress free and the day goes faster than computer work. He seems to like the people he works with too. His schedule gets him out at midnight, so that has been an issue because there is no bus at that time in our county. Which means I need to deal with getting him transport. Oh well, progress.

That's encouraging, Laura and msbelle!

Will SuperTim save us all? Please sir, use your powers for good!
