Ugh Steph that sounds rough and a long night. My dad's pain is mostly arthritis at this point (back and neck) and they gave him an injection on Monday to hopefully ease the pain.

Mac registered for classes! on his own! he was so late in doing so that he did not get what we had planned on, or maybe his friends had talked him into changing that anyway. Who knows? But he is registered for 2 classes and I can pay the bill and get reimbursement for this month's rent!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Tim's pain level is about a 2 today, so that's a big improvement. Last night it wasn't just a 10; I think it re-set his concept of what a 10 is (upwards). They sent him home with percocet and steroids and a referral to an orthopedist. It's possible he can have arthroscopic surgery on his elbow to clean out any bone or cartilage fragments, which would provide some relief. Elbow replacement is also a thing, but doctors don't like to do it for people in their 50s, because they're so young and the replacement wears out. (But on the other hand, if his elbow is so fucked up that he can't function, a replacement might be the best option, even if it wears out.)

But (because things are never uncomplicated) he has to have his valve replacement surgery first. He meets with the surgeon tomorrow to discuss it and (I assume) schedule the surgery.

I think he just needs all his wonky parts swapped out for bionic parts and then he can do some superheroing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Our wings are not tired.

Mac registered for classes! on his own!

Woot! Progress for sure.

My eldest is working at the Walmart grocery. Stocking. He likes it. Says it is stress free and the day goes faster than computer work. He seems to like the people he works with too. His schedule gets him out at midnight, so that has been an issue because there is no bus at that time in our county. Which means I need to deal with getting him transport. Oh well, progress.

That's encouraging, Laura and msbelle!

Will SuperTim save us all? Please sir, use your powers for good!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

WOO MAC!!!

SuperTim sounds like a good idea. I'm glad his pain is down today, yikes!

Puerto Rico, man. I can't think about it too much or I won't be able to work.

Laura - I hope this works for him. The structure of a big company, but a job that has him up and moving seems like a good combo. Would a bike be a possibility?

I am all up in my head this morning. Overwhelmed by all the stuff in my house that I do not want to take, but that is not selling. Unable to decide on what to pack in half-filled boxes.

The things I wanted to do this morning (drop off donations) were not possible because the place does not open on Tues until 1 and I cannot seem to shift my brain off that one task and on to something else productive. Eat and waste time online seem to be the only things I am capable of.

Maybe dumping that here will get me off my ass.

I have a meet & greet with possible new foster for Miley today at 2, so I do have to be up and out of the house in 2 hours and need to have the car packed with all her stuff before then in case the meet & greet goes well and she can just stay there.

So I guess I should jump in the shower and maybe in there I will get inspiration for a task I can do before I start packing her up.

Sorry for the rambly train of though brain dump that is all me me me. At some point I will stop all my navel gazing, I promise.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Go, Mac!

I'm glad Tim's feeling better today, Steph.

I went back to the gym for the first time since late November. I would like to state, comprehensively and for the record, ugh.
