I feel like I just woke to the Iraq invasion all over again. Getting rid of a bad guy with no thought whatsoever to the big picture or any competent cohesive regional policy. It is part stunt to distract from Impeachment, part 'make me look like a tough guy' reelection strategy, part knee jerk reaction to the Baghdad embassy issues. It is just very depressing and worrying. We'll see what he says tonight in Miami.
Meanwhile we are stuck with him in Florida. Many of you know what a pain it is when the president is in town. Little stuff like my son and DIL went to a hot air balloon event at the polo club in Palm Beach county, but they had to stay grounded because his orangeness is in town.
Oh yeah, I'd be a little anxious too, Jess. I do think everything will be fine, though.
Imagine if Iran had killed Mike Pompeo at the Pentagon with a drone strike.. that's about the level of offence we've just done to Iran.
Well in that case we'd just pretend whatever country currently annoying us the most had done it.
Timelies all!
Waiting for dinner, and trying not to think about the Iran clusterfuck to come.

We have always been at war with Eastasia.
I want dinner. I do not know what I want to eat for dinner. I have to give Petunia more medicine, and she has now figure out how better to fight me. I think I need three hands to do it properly.
Can you wrap her in a towel? (Note, I have never successfully done this, but it always seems to be the advice for cats!)
For my dinner, I finished the artichoke stuff AND pita chips!
Going forward, I guess I'm only going to have popcorn for dinner, because I just picked up a table top cart-style popcorn maker off a Facebook free group!

I think the issue is I need one hand for the syringe, and one hand to pry her mouth open. So even holding the towel is not really working! I am JSU being OK with getting whatever I get in her mouth, even though it isn't .4 ml.

One of my tricks for getting meds in a cat by myself is to put them in a corner somewhere...either in the room or in a an armchair/sofa where they can't really back up any further, and then try to get their meds in.
I've been giving Oz 1/2 pill twice a day for a couple of years now, so I don't really need the corner anymore. I just sit his butt down and pop it in. I also do it just before I put his plate of food down.
