Yep & looking forward to carving out some time in a month or so to get you settled!

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I ALSO can't believe you have a 17 y.o. nephew!
So for the end of the year I got in a car accident. I thought I was in a turn lane and I was in the straight lane and I turned. And collided with a car. And the people I hit were really nice. The wife got out and gave me a hug.
I have ticket and a fine and 4 points ony license. I don't know how that works since I don't have a SC drivers license. I also still don't have any documents from the bank so I have to follow up Monday.
My car has more damage. I basically scravthed their paint and my car has the trim for the bottom coming off, I can't ipen the passenger door all the way open.
My car insurance has a $500 deductible. My fine was just under $300. I still have to get my cat registered etc
And I may have given away one ofy shifts next week. I was going to take Dec 31 off and give it to someone who got 0 hours so I could watch FSU play in the Sun Bowl and have another day to recover from the holidays
Oh and my health insurance deductible kicks back in so when I get my medicine it will be $232.
I'm going to talk to Matthew's brother Sunday and see if he knows anyone who does body work that is reliable and can give me a quote.
On the plus side I never heard Little Drummer Boy this holiday season.
Oh, askye. The important thing is you're all right, and so are the people in the other car.
It's time to keep it on a 'one day at a time' level. I had an anxiety dream about driving the Bus at work, so I know I'm a little overwhelmed and I have much less stress than you do, so I know you must be up to ==here== with it.
I agree with Theo. Work for retail workers is so stressful right now, and living with Matthews mom must be also a big stress. And never underestimate the getting overheated thing. The other night I was so hot I went out and out my feet in the snow!
Unfortunately I am starting to get a little bored with my time off. I was hoping Maria and I could do some things, but we are both sick, And New Years Eve is cancelled because SYlvia has to work, Aidan is going to a friend's, Maria's mom doesn't feel well, and Petunia is getting spayed so I need to stay home with her. I invited Maria over, but she would rather not leave her house, and also needs to pick up Aidan at some point.
My laptop is fixed, so I think I may spend Monday and Tuesday working. We have a course we are hoping to open January 2nd that needs some work.
Oy, askye. I'm sorry about the car accident.
Laura, these are great news!
askye, I'm glad you're safe and uninjured!
Happy belateds to all the birthday celebrants.
We spent yesterday at a game night hosted by some friends at their church rec hall, which was a ton of fun. We brought Throw Throw Burrito and after we'd finished our game we let the toddlers in attendance take ownership of the burritos and run around throwing them at each other. Then we played Blockbuster which is like a combination of Anomia/Taboo/Charades but for movies, and is insanely fun. And the packaging is DELIGHTFUL.
To balance that out, I'm spending this afternoon searching the NYU library system for the readings I need to do for my study-abroad trip to Cuba, as the professor has very unhelpfully not uploaded them to the class website. (There is a folder called Resources with a bunch of stuff in it from last year's class, but none of the articles she's assigned in the syllabus.)
Oh my god you're going to Cuba! I remember this coming up before but I forgot and now I am all excited again
Yes that's going to be an amazing trip.
I just written a class assignment on a specific subject just because I could include the phrase "zombie apocalypse" in it (thank you, 2011 CDC campaign!). Academic fun, I missed thee.
