'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That's great to look forward to in 2020!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Well, another Florida vacation ends. We have a noon flight tomorrow.

I'm back in Baltimore after a very nice week in Birmingham at my brother's &SIL's. I can't believe I've got a 17 year old nephew. Also, coping with my parents' various age related stuff is hard. I try to roll with it as I do much, but I catch myself harboring little quiet reactions that nobody knows but me, but is not helpful. It helps I can talk about it with my SIL (my brother finds his acceptance at a level of nihilism/something I don't quite get to.) It helps to have someone who will sit with me with 'I hate this.' TL;DR, my family is lucky she picked him.

Also, in true xmas-at-brother's form, the fan on nephew's car seized up spectacularly & shattered into a million projectile pieces when my brother borrowed it to pick me up. With the dog & a thermos of spiked cider, the latter getting dumped in case highway patrol stopped. I ended up grabbing a lyft. Nephew is lucky my brother is his mechanic. Still waiting on a new fan & radiator when I left, but it should be running by next week. Ain't an Anderball xmas without car parts.

Thrive to spite them

So for the end of the year I got in a car accident. I thought I was in a turn lane and I was in the straight lane and I turned. And collided with a car. And the people I hit were really nice. The wife got out and gave me a hug.

I have ticket and a fine and 4 points ony license. I don't know how that works since I don't have a SC drivers license. I also still don't have any documents from the bank so I have to follow up Monday.

My car has more damage. I basically scravthed their paint and my car has the trim for the bottom coming off, I can't ipen the passenger door all the way open.

My car insurance has a $500 deductible. My fine was just under $300. I still have to get my cat registered etc

And I may have given away one ofy shifts next week. I was going to take Dec 31 off and give it to someone who got 0 hours so I could watch FSU play in the Sun Bowl and have another day to recover from the holidays

Oh and my health insurance deductible kicks back in so when I get my medicine it will be $232.

I'm going to talk to Matthew's brother Sunday and see if he knows anyone who does body work that is reliable and can give me a quote.

On the plus side I never heard Little Drummer Boy this holiday season.

Oh, askye. The important thing is you're all right, and so are the people in the other car.

It's time to keep it on a 'one day at a time' level. I had an anxiety dream about driving the Bus at work, so I know I'm a little overwhelmed and I have much less stress than you do, so I know you must be up to ==here== with it.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I agree with Theo. Work for retail workers is so stressful right now, and living with Matthews mom must be also a big stress. And never underestimate the getting overheated thing. The other night I was so hot I went out and out my feet in the snow!

Unfortunately I am starting to get a little bored with my time off. I was hoping Maria and I could do some things, but we are both sick, And New Years Eve is cancelled because SYlvia has to work, Aidan is going to a friend's, Maria's mom doesn't feel well, and Petunia is getting spayed so I need to stay home with her. I invited Maria over, but she would rather not leave her house, and also needs to pick up Aidan at some point.

My laptop is fixed, so I think I may spend Monday and Tuesday working. We have a course we are hoping to open January 2nd that needs some work.
