'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I slept pretty well until 4, but after that it was sketchy. Feeling better now. Realized I can at least jury-rig a hose from the drip to the sump-pit, which will keep the cellar floor dry.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

It is unfortunate that most jobs you can work your way up in require timeliness. I was lucky, because I was very good at it when I was young. Now I am terrible but also have a job that doesn't care if I spend three hours working in the middle of the night and come in at 10!

Also, one of the Irises on my flower arrangement opened! So pretty. Petunia plucked out some greenery and threw it on the floor, but is not eating the flowers!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Theo, Roto-Rooter will answer the phone and schedule an appointment 24/7. The sooner you call, the sooner you can get an appointment.

Timeliness was a big problem for me, the last couple years in the office. Working from home made it easy to get to work on time! It was a combination of ADHD and just plain not wanting to go to work.

I don't have enough gifts but I also don't have any more money to spend on gifts. My family will have to deal. Luckily everyone's an adult now. Christmas isn't the big production it used to be when the girls were little.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I love the flexibility of working from home, but I also fall into the trap of working too much and for too late into the evening, and then I just feel so burned out. My resolution for 2020 has got to be getting better about this work-life balance thing.

In the meantime, with the use of the hose from my wet-dry vac and what is essentially a runway with aluminum foil since it doesn't QUITE reach, I have the drip running all the way to the sump pit!

takes a small victory lap

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Way to MacGyver, Theo!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But still call Roto Rooter or someone, Theo!

I feel like a star -- I just wrapped almost all of my presents while also testing both my new bluetooth speaker and the Christmas music on my phone -- all good! Now to CVS for boxes or bags for the two leftover gifts.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

AND I've showered! This is way more than I usually do by 11am on a Sunday.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Woke up early, so I made breakfast and lemon curd. Nom. Will try to save it for Christmas Day or maybe freeze for later...
